PokerStars Ambassador Parker Talbot enjoyed a nice first day as well and will be bringing 105,000 chips to the second day.
From the 996 total entries today, only 337 players were fortunate enough to find a bag. Late registration remains open until the beginning of Day 2, which is set for 1 p.m. local time, so those hoping to turn 20 big blinds into glory and bounties still have a fighting chance.
12 levels were played on Wednesday, and the bounty component of the tournament will take effect on Thursday as all remaining players will receive a "Mystery Bounty Token”. All players that eliminate another player on Day 2 will receive their token and be able to take their token to the Mystery Bounty desk anytime after the second break of the day (around 5:15 p.m. local time) to draw their envelope.
There are a number of cash prizes to be won in addition to the PLATINUM PASS ADDED - WORTH $30,000 and a RED SPADE PASS ADDED - WORTH $18,000. Prize amounts will be announced at the start of the day.
Players will follow the same 40-minute level format for Day 2, playing 12 levels with a 15-minute break every three levels, beginning at Level 13 with 1000/1500/1500. A 60-minute dinner break is currently scheduled at the end of Level 21.
