Ohel Flirts With, And Scores the Chip Lead

Three more pots for Randy Ohel and he retakes the chip lead, and then extends it.

All pots saw Benjamin Lazer trying to draw to a hand only to have to give up and concede defeat to Ohel. All three hands (two of which were three bet) made it to the third draw, but if the cards don't come your way, what can you do?

This two-and-fro battle is building in the excitement levels.

Ohel Flirts With Chip Lead

Benjamin Lazer had the button, and raised. Randy Ohel called, and drew three cards. Lazer drew two, and Ohel check-called a bet. Both players drew one on the second draw, and Ohel led out. Lazer called.

Both players patted on the final draw, and Ohel led out again. Lazer released, and Ohel raked in the pot.

At that point, Ohel had 850,000 chips, and Lazer had 860,000, but Lazer won the next hand.

Lazer raised with the button, Ohel called, and Ohel drew three cards, checking dark. Lazer drew one, betting dark, and Ohel called. On the second draw, Ohel discarded two cards, and Lazer patted. Ohel check-folded and Lazer regained the lead.

Hold On a Minute

From fumes to all the momentum, Randy Ohel is right back in this. He just won another pot and for the first time in this heads-up encounter Benjamin Lazer looks shaken.

Lazer opened and Ohel three-bet. Call, Ohel drew one to Lazer's two and then led into Lazer who called. Ohel stood pat and Lazer drew one, and both did exactly the same the next rounds.

Ohel bet one more time and Lazer folded.

That hand came one hand after Ohel made a great call on the end with {9-}{4-}{6-}{3-}{7-}. Lazer had been bluffing with a queen-eight.

Game firmly back on!

Ohel Still Fighting

After a series of small pots, Randy Ohel raised with the button. Benjamin Lazer called, and drew two cards. Ohel drew one, and tossed out a bet when Lazer checked. Lazer called.

On the second draw the same thing happened, with Lazer check-calling another bet, and on the third draw, Lazer discarded one card. Ohel patted, and both players checked.

Ohel fanned {10-}{9-}{8-}{6-}{3-}, and it was good.

Going Down Swinging

If Randy Ohel is going to lose this battle he's going to go down fighting.

He called a Benjamin Lazer two-bet before he discarded three to his opponent's two. Lazer led into Ohel and he check-called before he drew two to the former's one.

Ohel called another bet and drew one to Lazer stand pat. Did Ohel get there? He sure represented that and led for 50,000. Lazer tank-folded and Ohel's rail cheered their boy on.

Ohel Drops to 100K, Then Doubles

There's no quit in Randy Ohel.
There's no quit in Randy Ohel.

Randy Ohel had the button, and raised. Benjamin Lazer called. On the first draw, Lazer drew three, Ohel two, and Lazer check-called a bet. Both players then drew two, Lazer led out, and Ohel called.

On the final draw, Lazer patted, and Ohel drew one. Both players checked. Lazer fanned {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, and Ohel mucked, leaving himself with just over 100,000 chips.

The very next hand, Lazer had the button and raised. Ohel re-raised, and Lazer called. On the first draw, Ohel drew two, and Lazer drew one. Ohel led out, and Lazer called. On the second draw, Ohel took two again, and Lazer took one. Ohel bet all in for 16,000, and Lazer called.

Both players stood pat, and Ohel wasn't very happy with that.

"F***!" he exclaimed, when Lazer patted behind him.

Ohel tabled a {10-}, and Lazer said he had a ten as well. Ohel's {10-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-} was best though, and he doubled to around 225,000 chips.

Lazer Extends Lead Again

It doesn't take much with a 40,000 big bet and a bit of aggression for pots to escalate.

Randy Ohel tried to get aggressive in the middle of a hand after Benjamin Lazer had been the early aggressor, but the line didn't work out well for him and he ended up folding to a bet on the last betting round.

From being almost even in chips he now found himself half a million chips again.
