Adams' Call With Ace High Good

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Timothy Adams raised to 60,000 in the small blind and Brendon Rubie defended his big blind.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and both checked through to the {3-Diamonds} turn. Two more checks delivered the {Q-Diamonds} river where Adams checked. Rubie took a stab with a bet of 60,000, but couldn't shake Adams.

Rubie showed {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for nothing, while Adams took it down with {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} for ace high.

That pot bumped Adams back to about 2.3 million.

Adams Takes From Schaaf With Aces

Timothy Adams raised to 40,000 on the button and James Schaaf defended his big blind.

The flop came down {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Schaaf check-called a bet 58,000 from Adams to see the {3-Spades} turn. It was more of the same as Schaaf check-called Adams' bet of 141,000 to see the {3-Clubs} river. For a third time, Schaaf check-called Adams' bet. It was hefty 301,000 that Schaaf paid off, only to see Adams table {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}.

Schaaf mucked, giving Adams his biggest chip lead of the three-handed battle thus far.
