Event #58: $1,111 Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold'em
Day 2 Completed
Over 1,000 players – 1,016 to be exact – started Day 2 of the $1,111 buy-in Little One for One Drop tournament with dreams of become a World Series of Poker bracelet winner. By the time 11 60-minute levels were completed, all but 67 of those players’ dreams were no more.
The dream is definitely still alive for Joseph Wilson who bagged and tagged a tournament leading 983,000 chips when play ended for the night. Wilson last cashed at the WSOP in 2011 when he finished 190th in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event. That result banked Wilson $3,018 in prize money, an amount he looks set to obliterate here in this event.
Joining Wilson on Day 3 is a bunch of other big stacks and notable players. Nghi Tran bamboozled his opponents with his hyper-aggressive style of play all day long and it was no surprise when he bagged up 803,000 chips, which are enough to place him second overall.
Roberto Romanello, who is in the hunt for the coveted Triple Crown of live poker titles, grinded an average sized stack all day long, but in the last level Lady Luck shone down on him and he couldn’t do anything wrong. First, he found a great spot to four-bet all in with pocket queens (which held against sevens) and he then found aces to crippled Humberto Brenes. Romanello ended with 781,000 chips and will start in third place when play resumes on Saturday.
Others to look out for on Day 3 include Mikolaj Zawadzki (715,000), Andrey Pateychuk (552,000), Scott O’Reilly (271,000), Mike Sowers (217,000), Grayson Ramage (166,000), Bryn Kenney (164,000) and Chris Bjorin (111,000).
We almost added Cliff Josephy to that impressive list of survivors, but he busted on the very last hand of the night. Josephy is now free to play in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event that starts tomorrow lunchtime, as are Liv Boeree, Jonathan Roy, Byron Kaverman, Keven Stammen, Xuan Liu, Vitaly Lunkin and Dimitar Danchev who all busted out at various points of the day.
Day 3 begins at 1 p.m in the Pavilion Room of the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. PokerNews will be there to bring you all the action from Day 3 where the tournament staff hope to reach the final table. Make sure you join us when play resumes.

Roberto Romanello opened for a raise from middle position, and Humberto Brenes three-bet him from the hijack. The next player jammed from the cutoff, and Romanello moved in as well when action folded back to him. Brenes mucked face up.
Cutoff:
Romanello:
Brenes had made a wise move, as he would have been in horrible shape. The board came down , and Romanello continues to climb up the counts.

Roberto Romanello has been grinding away quietly all day, hanging around the average sized stack and his patience has been paid off.
Suraj Dutt opened to 16,000 in the hijack, then the cutoff three-bet to 48,000. next to act, on the button, was Romanello and the Welshman four-bet all in for a total of 173,000. Dutt folded but the cutoff went deep into the tank, emerging some two minutes later with a call.

Cutoff:
Romanello was a 4.5-to-1 favorite to double up, but needed to avoid a seven otherwise his tournament would be over. He avoided a seven on the flop, dodged a seven on the and steered clear of a seven on the river.
