Hold Onto Your Hats! The Pokerfest Micro Turbo Festival is Here!
The Micro Turbo edition of the popular Pokerfest series sees 67 turbo tournaments take place over a 15 day period at partypoker, bwin and WPT Poker. These action-packed, thrilling tournaments are all played to a turbo or hyper-turbo blind structure, meaning you can potentially win a share of almost $285,000 in combined guaranteed prize pools in lightning quick time.
As the name suggests, the Pokerfest Micro Turbo edition features tournament with low buy-ins. These buy-ins range from as low as $0.11 and increase to a maximum of $22. In fact if you were to buy into all 67 events you would only need $179, which we think is a bargain!
The opening event of the inaugural Pokerfest Micro Turbo kicks off at 04:00 ET on Sunday 1 December with a $1,000 guaranteed 6-Max Turbo rebuy event that costs a most affordable $1 to enter.
Other highlights of this exciting festival include a $20,000 guaranteed $6 rebuy (Event #3), a $10,000 guaranteed $6 rebuy (Event #28), a $15,000 High Roller Deepstack costing $22 to enter and the eagerly anticipated $11 buy-in Deepstack Turbo Main Event that carries a massive $50,000 guaranteed prize pool!

Limits and Rake
At the no-limit Texas hold'em tables, the limits are spread to target all players, from beginners to advanced.
Starting at the micro limits, $0.05/$0.10, the limits progressively increase through $50/$100.
The limit tables begin at the comparatively higher limit level of $0.15/$0.30, and build all the way to the nosebleed $500/$1,000 level.
Pot-limit hold'em begins at the same level as the no-limit hold'em tables, but the tables finish at $5/$10.
The stud and Omaha tables focus on micro limit play and max out at $50/$100 and $25/$50, respectively.
Bwin Poker applies a rake that is generally measured at 5% of the pot and capped at $3. This cap can be as low as $1, depending on factors such as pot size, the number of players involved and the limit level.
Player traffic generally peaks close to 5,000 players in a given 24-hour period and, as is generally the case across all the major online poker rooms, the players at bwin tend to congregate at the no-limit Texas hold'em tables.
Action can also be found at the stud, Omaha, and draw tables, although the numbers are comparatively sparse. In general, if players are eager to compete at the Texas hold'em tables, they have little trouble finding their preferred limit level.
Bwin Poker offers a clean and well-designed lobby, courtesy of the Ongame Network. Tabbed browsing makes game type, table, and limit selection a breeze. The table/tournament description on the right hand side of the lobby is detailed and thorough, including such statistics as players per flop, average pot size, and hands played per hour. The lobby chat box allows players to talk amongst themselves when searching or waiting for a table.
As for the tables themselves, running hand details are displayed below the community cards, meaning that players can keep up with their hand strength, quickly and easily.
Hot keys and check boxes further help speed up gameplay. The running totals of the pot sizes are welcome but sometimes a little hard to see. Games move quickly and not hindered by lengthy animations. The instant play feature allows play on any computer, be it Mac, Linux or Windows.
