2007 World Series of Poker

Event 43 - $2,000 Limit Holdem

Saif Ahmad Wins the $2,000 Limit Hold-Em Championship

Unstoppable. That was Saif Ahmad during the heads-up match. He won every big hand, including the last one. Jensen raised before the flop and Ahmad called, and they saw a flop of {J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Jensen bet the last of his chips and Ahmad called. Jensen showed {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} for two pair, Ahmad held...{Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

The {10-Spades} on the turn gave Ahmad an open-ended straight draw, and on the river he spiked the {A-Spades} to end cruelly William Jensen's day. As our runner-up, Jensen wins $133,151, but that Ace of Spades on the river gave the title, the $217,329 first place money, and the World Series of Poker bracelet to Saif Ahmad.
