Frankie O'Dell Wins Event #44 ($2,000 Omaha Hi-Lo), Thang Luu Eliminated in 2nd Place

Thang Luu raised all in for his last 60,000 pre-flop and Frankie O'Dell called.

Luu {4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
O'Dell {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. O'Dell made two pair, queens and nines, to scoop the pot and eliminate Luu.

Frankie O'Dell wins Event #44 ($2,000 Omaha Hi-Lo), $240,057, a Corum watch, and his second WSOP bracelet. O'Dell won his first bracelet, also in Omaha Hi-Lo, back in 2003.

Thang Luu takes home $147,726 for his runner-up finish.

Martin Corpuz, Jr. Eliminated in 3rd Place ($97,188)

Martin Corpuz raised pre-flop, Frankie O'Dell three-bet and Corpuz called all in.

Corpuz {A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
O'Dell {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board came {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, giving O'Dell a queen-high straight and eliminating Corpuz.

Thang Luu Crippled

Martin Corpuz was all in in the big blind holding {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} while O'Dell and Luu continued betting on the side. The final board was {Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. O'Dell turned over {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{K-Spades} for a set of sixes and took the sizeable side pot, crippling Luu, while Corpuz survived by making the nut low and won the low half of the main pot.

After the hand, O'Dell was up to 1.75M, Corpuz had 80,000 and Luu was down to 120,000.

Martin Corpuz Crippled

Holding {2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{Q-Spades} on a board of {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Martin Corpuz thought his wheel was good, but Frankie O'Dell turned over {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for a six high straight for high and a wheel for low. O'Dell took the high and half the low, quartering Corpuz and crippling him down to less than 100,000 in chips.

Marcel Luske Eliminated in 4th Place ($64,630)

Thang Luu raised pre-flop from the button and Marcel Luske called from the small blind. The flop was {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Luske checked, Luu bet 40,000 and Luske called all in.

Luske {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Luu {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The turn was the {3-Spades} and the river was the {6-Spades}. Luu's aces and sixes bested Luske's tens and threes and he was eliminated.
