A Few Last Hands...And That's About It.

Antony Lellouche has dropped down to 23,000 right at the death. He flat-called a raise from Marcel Baran in late position holding , only to be squeezed by a fellow Frenchman in the small blind. Baran folded and Lellouche quickly called and found himself dominating his opponent's . But the Poker Gods weren't on his side as one of the two remaining eights came on the board, and Lellouche lost a 41,000-chip pot right at the death.

Also on this chip count at the end are Stephen Devlin and Chris Moorman, just about equal after their battles.

Play will restart tomorrow at 12pm, with 177 players remaining out of the 570 who started the event. 56 places get paid and we're expecting to break into the money before the end of tomorrow, with the remaining players then playing down to the final on Friday. We'll see you tomorrow!

The clock has now been stopped as they play out the final few hands. The current player count reads 96, and unless someone experiences a rush of blood or is cold-decked at the death, I can't see that figure changing.

Bullets Shot Down

In the last level of the night, the Poker Gods have dealt out a cruel blow to Frenchman Vikash Dhorasoo, preventing him from challenging the chip lead and bashing him back down to the 30,000 mark.

Having been reraised by a player two seats down, Vikash Dhorasoo insta-called with only to see he was in domineering shape against . The flop was a teaser, but didn't seem to concern Dhorasoo too much, and after the turn he looked home a dry.

A river, however, soon tore a hole in his home straight and had him diving for the sick bucket as the rest of the table released the inevitable flurry of gasps and groans.

Overbet Wins It for Johansson

The board is reading and after it's checked to him on the river, Christer Johansson bets 25,000 into a 12,000 pot. Petr Masojidek says to him, "I have to call you, I have two pair."

The former WPT Paris winner flips for the nuts to scoop the pot and push him to almost 100,000.

The Bansi Plays a Marching Tune

Final Hit Squad member Praz Bansi has been eliminated from today's event. He found himself all in with the drawtastic versus Erich Kollmann's on a flop. No change on the and turn and river and Bansi was gone.

Kollmann now has 39,000.

Mr. X Strikes

Alessio Isaia raised it up to 1,600 preflop and received a call in the shape of Mr. X on the button. On the flop, Isaia continue-bet for 3,600, which was met by an instant all-in from Mr. X. After a minute or two of hesitation, Isaia released his hand, allowing Mr. X to lap up the pot.

Before he scooped, he showed his cards to some friends on the rail. I later found out what he had, but Mr. X is an international man of mystery, and I think he should remain that way. I'm therefore keeping my cards very close to my chest. Pun intended.
