Jeroen Kersjes Wins Event #3 (€3,264)

With strong support from the rail, Jeroen Kersjes had plenty of wind in his sails during today's final and, following a roller coaster heads-up battle, finally wrapped up a deserved victory to take down event #3.

If he survives a night of celebration with his already intoxicated Dutch fan base, Kersjes may well opt to spend some of his winnings in tomorrow's €270+30 Omaha freezeout. If he hasn't sobered up by then, he might even fancy his chances at the €4,700+300 Omaha High Rollers event.

Either way, both will be hitting our shores tomorrow afternoon at 2pm and 4pm respectively, and your intrepid, and perhaps soon to be boozy update team will be present to bring you all the latest action, straight to your monitor.

Kristian Svensson Eliminated in Second Place (€1,960)

The crowd didn't have to wait long, though.

Svensson shoved from the button the very next hand, and he was swiftly called by Kersjes.

With Svensson down to just 27,000 on his big blind, Kersjes raised enough to cover him. Svensson looked pained for a moment, before declaring, "Yeah, I have to," and they were on their backs for the trophy.

Thus Svensson's unlikely flush kept him in the game, and the heads up continued.

First Blood to Kersjes

After a five minute break, the first hand back saw Jeroen Kersjes raising the button to 26,000 and Kristian Svensson making the call. Both players checked the flop, only for Svensson to lead out for 40,000 on the turn.

Kersjes announced all-in, and Svensson folded quicker than an Origami champion.

Svensson Still the Short Stack

Kristian Svensson has been hovering around the 60,000 mark for some time now, but both players seem to be biding their time and waiting for hands they feel comfortable with.

Svensson shoved from the button for 63,500 and Kersjes dwelled up for a minute. "It's quite a lot," said Svensson helpfully. Kersjes passed, and Svensson rewarded him by flashing a three as he mucked his hand.

A few hands later Kersjes declared that he was all in from the button. Svensson poured ginger ale into his Jack Daniels, stirred it and took a sip; only then did he look at his cards. He passed face up.

Crucial Pot for Kersjes

Youngstar_x, as he is known on PokerNews, made it 18,000, and Krisitian Svensson made the call.

Both players checked the flop, only for Jeroen Kersjes to bet 38,000 from the button on the turn. Svensson called.

On the river, Svensson glanced down at his chips a couple of times before making a deep reach for 100,000, leaving himself around 50,000.

Kersjes called.

"Good call," complimented Svensson as he sucked his double Jack Daniels and coke through a straw.

Kersjes flipped to take down the pot and a commanding chip lead.
