Day 3 completed

Congratulations to Brock Parker, Event #14 Champion! ($223,688)

It was a long three days of limit hold'em, but the action never stopped here in Event #14, $2,500 Six-handed Limit Hold'em. Brock Parker kept himself in the middle of the pack on the first two days and did his best at all times to keep himself in contention.

It looked as if Daniel Negreanu was going to run away with this gold bracelet and claim another in his career, but Brock Parker was too much of a challenge heads up. Parker was down a hefty amount of chips to Negreanu, but he battled back against one of poker's juggernauts to take down his first ever WSOP gold bracelet!

The action began with 367 entrants and Parker was able to best them all. This win was his largest tournament score ever and was worth more than all of his previous tournament winnings combined. Known as an online guru, Parker has now made a name for himself in the live realm.

Congratulations to Brock Parker on his first WSOP gold bracelet and capturing the title of Event #14!

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated in 2nd Place ($138,280)

Daniel Negreanu went from running hot to running ice cold. Brock Parker seemed to win hand after hand in the heads-up match, dwindling Negreanu down further and further with each deal.

On the final hand, Brock Parker raised and then Daniel Negreanu called. The flop was {A-Hearts} {10-Spades} {6-Diamonds} and Negreanu checked. Parker bet, Negreanu raised, Parker made it three bets, and then Negreanu raised to four bets. Parker finished the action with a call.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and Negreanu bet all in. Parker called.

Showdown
Parker: {A-Diamonds} {J-Spades}
Negreanu: {K-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}

The river card needed to be a ten or a king for Daniel to stay alive. The dealer burned one card and then dealt the {8-Spades} on the river. Just like that, it was all over and Brock Parker claimed his first ever WSOP bracelet!

Brock Crushing It

Brock Parker is pulling away more and more with every hand. He now has a big chip lead on Negreanu, with Negreanu having only a few hundred thousand chips left.

More Torture on the Turn

Daniel Negreanu raised and then Brock Parker reraised from the big blind. Negreanu made the call. The flop was {9-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {4-Spades} and Parker fired. Negreanu called.

The turn was the {A-Hearts} and Parker fired again. Negreanu called. The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Parker bet again. Negreanu flung back in his chair and said, "You hit that ace again?" He then tossed in the call.

Parker showed him {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} for a pair of aces on the turn and took down the pot. "I don't ever wanna see that turn card again. It's like every time it hits, it's you," commented Daniel.

Things Upsetting Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu is becoming visibly upset with the way he has been running the past few hands. Brock Parker seems to be the one riding in the hot seat right now as he increases his chip lead.

Chop Chop

Daniel Negreanu raised and Brock Parker called from the big blind. The flop came down {7-Hearts} {6-Spades} {4-Hearts} and Negreanu called a bet from Parker. The turn was the {5-Spades} and Parker bet again. Negreanu called. The river was the {3-Hearts} and both players checked.

Negreanu showed {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} and parker showed {J-Clubs} {6-Clubs}, but both players would split the pot with the straight on board.

Crowd Pleaser

On the flop of {J-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {2-Diamonds}, Brock Parker check-raised Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu made the call and the turn came the {7-Spades}. Parker led with a bet and then Negreanu raised. Parker called.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Negreanu bet after Parker checked to him. Parker made the call. Negreanu showed {A-Hearts} {J-Spades} and the crowd erupted in cheer as Parker mucked.

Brock Turns the Winner

On a board of {9-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}, Daniel Negreanu bet out and then Brock Parker raised. Negreanu made the call. The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Negreanu checked. Parker bet and Negreanu called.

Parker held {J-Spades} {4-Spades} for two pair and it looks as if he's taken over the chip lead. Negreanu flashed what looked like a {K-?} {4-?}.

Game Over

The Lakers' game must be over because Erick Lindgren and Gavin Smith have returned to the arena to check out the action. Both are good friends with crowd favorite, Daniel Negreanu.
