That brings an end to a long Day 2 of the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em event from the 2010 World Series of Poker where our field of 205 players has been reduced to our final two tables.

Makhija Takes Late Pot

Amit Makhija opened with a raise to 30,000 from the hijack position and Antonio Esfandiari made the call in the big blind.

They saw a {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop and Esfandiari checked over to Makhija who fired 57,000. Esfandiari made the call. The {10-Hearts} hit the turn and Esfandiari checked to Makhija who fired again for 90,000. Again Esfandiari made the call.

The river was the {3-Clubs} and again it was checked to Makhija who fired a third barrel worth 225,000. Esfandiari decided to give it up as Makhija win a nice pot without showdown. Makhija is up to 1.3 million with Esfandiari down to 882,000.

Matthew Schwarmann Eliminated in 19th Place ($25,386)

Perry Friedman opened the action with a raise to 30,000 before Matthew Schwarmann moved all in for his last 61,000. The table folded around and Friedman made the call.

Schwarmann: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Friedman: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Schwarmann was in a dominant position to double up but the flop fell {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} which was disastrous for Schwarmann as Friedman flopped the stone-cold nuts. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and river the {4-Hearts} and Schwarmann departs in 19th place as Friedman moves up to 410,000.

Three More Hands

The players will be playing three more hands on each table before we call it a night.

Behling Bounces Back With Big Slick

Nico Behling moved all in preflop from the cutoff for his last 181,000 chips and Matthew Schwarmann made the call in the big blind.

Behling: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Schwarmann: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

The board fell {K-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Behling doubles through to 375,000 to leave Schwarmann crippled with under 50,000.

Full House For Cooper

James Carroll raised to 30,000 from middle position with Joshua Cooper making the call in the big blind.

They saw a flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Cooper led out for 40,000. Carroll made the call.

The river was the {10-Clubs} and Cooper fired 65,000 with Carroll again making the call. Cooper showed {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for a turned full house which was well and truly good. He's up to 600,000 with Carroll down to 740,000.

Eugene Todd Eliminated in 20th Place ($25,386)

Eugene Todd was all in preflop for his last 200,000 chips with Jeff Williams made the call.

Todd: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Williams: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

The big preflop races continue and this time the pair holds on the {Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{9-Spades} board. Williams hits 1.2 million and Todd hits the bar.
