End of Day 1

At the beginning of the day, 568 runners anted up $5,000 for Event #32 and now only 116 remain. The defending champion of this event, Matthew Hawrilenko, was unable to defend his title because he is attending a friend's wedding, so the title is officially up for grabs.

Christian "Charder30" Harder ended Day 1 as our chip leader with an astounding 258,700 chips. He flopped broadway against David Benyamine's set of jacks and held to win a monster pot.

Other big stacks include Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott, Rod Pennington, Tony Dunst and Jennifer Harman.

We are 62 spots away from the money and tomorrow's restart has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. PST. There we will play to a final table or until 3 a.m. We hope you join us tomorrow for the restart right here at PokerNews.com.

Goodnight!

Ouch!

In the last hand of the day, James Akenhead opened the pot in the small blind with a 3,000-chip raise. In the big blind, Alan Sass re-popped it to 6,300 and Akenhead went all in. Sass snap called and Akenhead tabled {a-Spades}{5-Spades}. Sass tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Akenhead moved up to 77,000 chips. Sass slipped to 89,000.

Danzer Slipped

With the board reading {9-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades} Javier Martinez fired a 6,200 chip-bet, George Danzer called.

The river brought a {4-Spades} to the table, and Martinez, once more, fired a 14,000-chip bet. Danzer tanked for several minutes and eventually folded.

Danzer slipped to 70,000 chips.

Charder Flops the Nuts, Takes the Chip Lead

When we arrived at Table 9, Christian "Charder30" Harder was raking in a mountain of chips.

We missed the specifics of the hand, but he was up against David Benyamine and the board read {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}. Benyamine's hand had already been mucked, and in front of Harder lay {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

After the massive double up, Harder is far and away our chip leader with 260,000 to his name.

Benyamine did find a double up the very next hand, but is still short with 17,000 chips.

Suit up Tony!

Tony Dunst and two other plaeyers ended up all in pre-flop. Dunst tabled two black aces, one of the opponents tabled {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and the other {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

The board came out {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Dunst is now up to 190,000 chips.

Praz Bansi Busto

With the board reading {6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} Praz Bansi went all in for about 18,000 chips. The player in the cutoff seat called and Chad Batista folded in the small.

Showdown
Bansi: {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The turn brought a {6-Diamonds} to the table and the river card was a {q-Spades}. Early exit for Bansi.
