Event #32: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em / Six Handed

Day 2 Completed

Day 2 Ends with 12; E-dog and the Master Through to Day 3

Erick Lindgren
Erick Lindgren

Ten levels ago, 116 players returned for Day 2 of one of the summer's most anticipated events. Now only 12 remain in their quest to make the six-handed final table. Mark Radoja ended the night as chip leader with just under 1.5 million in chips. He stayed under the radar all afternoon, then became an elimination machine in the last two hours, knocking out three players and winning several other big hands to take over the lead. Erick Lindgren is the only other player bringing more than a million chips with him to Day 3. Men Nguyen will also be back in pursuit of his second bracelet of the summer.

Christian Harder began Day 2 as chip leader, but he wasn't able to keep the top spot for long. He held on until late in the night, ultimately getting sent home in 14th place. Eugene Todd (bro) was eliminated just before Charder in 15th place. David "Devilfish" Ulliott finished in 19th, and Matt Brady hit the rail in 21st. Tom Marchese, Matt Graham, Ryan D'Angelo, Tony Dunst, and Shannon Shorr also made it deep into the money. Isaac Haxton, Eric Baldwin, and Shawn Buchanan busted just inside the bubble, while Craig Marquis and David Singer split min-cash money when both were eliminated at the same time during hand-for-hand.

Twelve people fared better, making it to Day 3 where they have a shot at the final table, and ultimately, a World Series bracelet. Men Nguyen would love to become the year's first double bracelet winner, but with 264,000 chips, it's going to be a difficult fight. Second in chips, Erick Lindgren has a better shot at the final table and is certainly ready for another taste of the success he had in 2008 when he won Player of the Year. Anthony Roux would like to follow Ladies Event winner Vanessa Hellebuyck and bring a second bracelet home to France. And all of them can't wait for the chance to write their names in WSOP history.

Find out who will get that honor when they return on Saturday to play to a winner. They'll be back at 3:00 p.m., and so will we.

Action folded to Darren Elias in the small blind who raised to 36,000. Erick Lindgren raised to 115,000 from the big blind and Elias made the call.

The flop fell {k-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Elias checked to Lindgren who bet 85,000. Elias check-raised to 250,000 and Lindgren folded.

Elias is now up to 910,000 chips and Lindgren fell to 1,000,000.

Master and Elias Get Lindgr-owned

Erick Lindgren raised to 31,000 under the gun, and Men Nguyen flatted in the small blind. Then Darren Elias squeezed to 126,000 in the big blind. No problem for E-dog. He simply four-bet to 350,000. Nguyen folded, and after a minute, Elias followed suit. Lindgren flashed the {7-Hearts} as he dragged the nice preflop pot. He's up to 1.1 million now. Elias is at 700,000, and Men has fallen to 440,000.

Christian Harder Eliminated in 14th Place ($26,188)

Christian Harder - 14th Place
Christian Harder - 14th Place

Mark Radoja has been a one-man eliminating machine. He raised to 27,000, and Christian Harder reraised to 80,000 on the button. When Radoja four-bet shoved, Charder wasn't afraid to become Radoja's next victim. Instead, he called all in for his remaining 260,000 to discover that his {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} was badly behind Radoja's {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. The {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} board wasn't very useful for Charder, and he was sent home short of the final table he'd been aiming for all day. With his third elimination out of the last five, Radoja is up to 1,270,000 and firmly in the lead.

Popping a Double Up

Jeffrey Papola was all in and at risk holding {9-Spades}{7-Spades} and was fortunate to be racing against Lucas Greenwood's {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

Papola jumped ahead when the flop fell {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and successfully doubled after the turn and river bricked off.

Greenwood fell to 310,000 chips and Papola doubled to 435,000.

Papola is just eight spots away from making consecutive six handed final tables at the 2010 World Series of Poker
