Kelly Trips Up Buchanan

Our two players each put in the minimum 100,000 chips to see a flop of {7-Spades} {6-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}. Kelly checked first to act, and Buchanan put out a bet of 110,000. Kelly called and checked again on the {Q-Diamonds} turn, and he matched Buchanan's second bet of 300,000 as well. On the river {7-Diamonds}, Kelly let Buchanan fire one more bullet, and he called the 425,000 to see a showdown:

Buchanan: {Q-Hearts} {8-Spades}
Kelly: {7-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}

Buchanan turned top two, but that river seven gave Kelly the winning trips and the chip lead once again.

Kelly - 7.9 million
Buchanan - 6.5 million
