What they're all playing for.
What they're all playing for.

We started Day 1 of Event #53 with 548 runners and now we are down to 64. All of the remaining players are guaranteed $4,135, but are surely eyeing the $184,950 first-place prize and of course the gold bracelet.

Tomorrow, there will be eight eight-handed tables filled with very tough players. Among the returning players are Terrence Chan, Kirk Banks, Jonathan “FatalError” Aguiar, Jonathan Little, Pat Pezzin, Nam Le, Chau Giang, Barry Shulman and Yevgeniy “atimos” Timoshenko.

Be sure to check in at 3 p.m. PST where our coverage will resume and we will play down to an eight-handed final table!

We Have a Winner

After a grueling, four-hour heads up match, we have a winner for Table 303.

Cornel Andrew Cimpan defeated Tommy "Nhan" Le with just five minutes remaining in Level 9. Cimpan held {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Le needed help with {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

The board ran {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Cimpan's aces were good enough for the win sending him into tomorrow.
