Ville Mattila Eliminated in 3rd Place ($354,218)

Ville Mattila - 3rd Place
Ville Mattila - 3rd Place

Ville Mattila pot-raised from the button, and Daniel Alaei re-potted from the small blind. Mattila called all in, and he was at risk all over again as the cards were turned up:

Mattila: {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}
Alaei: {K-Spades} {K-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}

The flop was in Mattila's neighborhood again as it came {A-Spades} {J-Clubs} {6-Clubs} to pull him into a big lead with two cards to come. It looked like it was poised to be another Mattila double for a moment, but the {K-Clubs} crashed down on fourth street, giving Alaei the set of kings and leaving his opponent dead to an ace. The river {10-Spades} was officially not an ace, and Mattila has finally been dispatched of. He worked his way to an impressive third-place finish here this week, and he'll be rewarded with more than $350,000 for his efforts
