We're all said and done here in London for the 2011 PokerStars.com European Poker Tour London Poker Festival Main Event. Emerging victorious is young superstar Benny Spindler.

Coming into the day, Spindler came into the final table third in chips. Way back on Day 1b of the tournament, Spindler built the largest stack in the room by day's end. Coming into Day 2, only Lukasz Golczyk from Day 1a had more chips than him. Spindler constantly fund himself as the largest stack in the room, or one of, for the following days. He assumed the chip lead early on at the final table after picking off a big bluff from Mattias Bergstrom. Then, he won a massive flip with start-of-the-day chip leader Martins Adeniya to get a massive stack.

When heads-up play began, only American Steve O'Dwyer stood in the young German's way. Spindler had the lead with 13.49 million in chips to O'Dwyer's 7.145 million and the battle didn't last too long.

After a couple of hands, all of the money finally went in. O'Dwyer five-bet jammed with {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Spindler met him with a call holding the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}. Spindler flopped an ace and fended off O'Dwyer from there, who could only turn a jack on the hand. He was eliminated in second place to crown Spindler champion.

This is the largest win of Spindler's career after having a few close calls on EPT events. In 2009, he final tabled the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and finished in third place before placing 12th in the EPT London Main Event later that year in October. Earlier this year, he placed second in Season 7's EPT Grand Final €25,000 High Roller.

When asked if he felt like he had a giant monkey lifted off his back, Spindler simply shook his head and responded, "No." He may not be a man of many words, but he does have a lot of money in his pocket from this win.

Steve O'Dwyer Eliminated in 2nd Place (£465,000)

Just like that it's all over, just a few hands into heads-up play. Here's how it went down.

From the button, Benny Spindler raised to 225,000. Steve O'Dwyer three-bet and made it 725,000 to go. Spindler took about half a minute and then four-bet to 1.725 million. O'Dwyer studied and then announced that he was all in -- a shove worth around 7.5 million in chips. Spindler called just about as quick as you could.

"Well, that's not good," said O'Dwyer, turning over the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

Indeed it was not good as Spindler had him dominated with the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and that was just about as bad as you could get for O'Dwyer. He had no help while Spindler improved to a pair of aces and put himself further in front.

The turn card was the {J-Hearts} and spiked O'Dwyer with a pair of jacks. It wasn't much, but it helped as it gave him a chance to stay alive if he could hit a jack on the river.

The final card was the {6-Spades} and not what O'Dwyer needed. He was eliminated in second place and earned £465,000 for his finish. The two shook hands and that was that.

One to O'Dwyer

From the button, Steve O'Dwyer raised to 200,000. Benny Spindler made the call from the big blind and the flop came down {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Spindler checked and O'Dwyer fired 250,000. Spindler called.

Fourth street was the {6-Spades} and Spindler checked again. O'Dwyer upped his bet to 585,000. This time Spindler folded and O'Dwyer won the pot.

Andre Klebanov was all in preflop with the {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} against the {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for Steve O'Dwyer. The flop came down {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, although neither player held a heart.

The turn {7-Hearts} did give O'Dwyer a straight draw and he commented, "I've got a good feeling, I've got a good feeling," repeatedly with a smile on his face.

The river card landed with the {4-Clubs} and gave O'Dwyer his straight. He won the pot and busted Klebanov in third place.
