    Anna Wroblewski Eliminated

Anna Wroblewski was another one of the bounty players who busted out. On a flop of {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}, she was all in with {7-Spades}{6-Spades}. Her opponent flopped a set of fours. She missed her straight flush draw and headed to the rail, as her opponent collected a bounty.

Anna Wroblewski's not too bummed out because she is among the fourteen players who advanced to Day 2 of Event #5. That event should be starting in about an hour or so.

    Bounty Brandon = Busto

Brandon Schaefer got the last of his chips in with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and got a caller in an opponent with {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. The flop was {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}, giving his opponent an open-ended straight flush draw.

"That's SO sick!" exclaimed Schaefer as the dealer fanned out the flop.

The turn was the {Q-Spades}, but the river was the {6-Hearts}, sending Schaefer to the rail.

Michael Vartan Cruising Despite Laak's Chatter

Michael Vartan had one of the unluckier table draws today, as he is seated directly opposite Phil "The Unabomber" Laak. Laak has been chattering nonstop at his opponents since the cards went in the air (this reporter heard something about molecular particles on her last pass near this table). Nevertheless, Vartan has managed to amass one of the tournament's healthier stacks at this early stage, with 10,200 in chips in front of him.

    Tony Hachem is Psychic

Four players limped in and saw a flop of 6-4-3. The action was checked around. The turn was a deuce. Tony Hachem fired out 400 and got one caller. The river was a 5. Hachem checked, his opponent bet 500, and Hachem went into the tank.

"I bet you have sevens" said Tony as he agonized over his decision. Ultimately, he folded {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} face-up. Sure enough, his opponent showed pocket sevens.

After the hand, Hachem was down to 2,500 in chips.
