Play Ended for the Day

Play has finished for the night. We will update with the chip counts of today's survivors when we get them. The tournament clock shows 82 players remaining and Ola Brandborn still looks to be in the chip lead with 83,000.

Join us from 2 pm local time tomorrow, when the second flight begins and Internet connection permitting, we will bring you all the action as it happens.

Five More Hands

The tournament clock was stopped with 10 minutes, 47 seconds remaining in the last level of the evening. Instead of playing until the clock hits zero, five more hands will be dealt at each table before play is completed for the night. The 25-denomination chips will then be raced off the tables and players will bag and tag their chips.

There are 85 players remaining in the field.

Three-Way Action

Anthony Chatelain
Anthony Chatelain
The chips go flying in on a queen-high flop with two clubs. Noah Boeken has {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, Anthony Chatelain {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} and Jesper Askholt {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. All is looking fine for Anthony on a {6-Spades} turn, however a club on the river sees him lose the main pot, but win a 10,000-chip side pot from Noah. Jesper Askholt wins 25,000 in the main pot with his flush.

Gus Hansen Eliminated

A Danish player may take down this tournament, but it won't be Gus Hansen. The Great Dane just hit the rail and was immediately swarmed by TV cameras. He's still giving interviews in the hallway as we write this.

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated by Noah Boeken

On a flop of {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}, Daniel Negreanu moved all in for his remaining 4,400 and Noah Boeken made the call. Negreanu turned up {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for one over and a flush draw while Boeken tabled {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, the river was the {K-Spades} and Negreanu was eliminated, shaking hands and wishing his opponents luck as he made his exit.

After the hand, Boeken was up to 24,000.
