Aristocrat hearing set for April

A hearing date has been set in the NSW Supreme Court in the case between Aristocrat Leisure and its former chief executive Des Randall.

Justice Patricia Bergin says the hearing will begin on April 19 next year and will run until April 30.

The ailing poker machine maker launched its $2.6 million claim against Mr Randall and his wife in July, stepping up hostilities following his dismissal in April.

The claim was in response to Mr Randall's $13 million breach of contract claim against Aristocrat, which is also before the court.

In documents lodged in the court in July, Aristocrat is seeking the repayment of $2.6 million in company loans received by Mr Randall and his wife during his employment.
