APPT Seoul Main Event Final Table: Bachar Rolls to Title

186 players started the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour Seoul event this week, and the nine final table players returned to the felt on Sunday in search of the APPT title and the $139,872 first prize. Ziv Bachar from Tel Aviv, Israel finished the day the same way he began it, on top of the leader board as he outlasted the field to claim his first APPT victory.
When play began, the chip stacks were as follows:

Michel St-Pierre wasted no time getting his chips in the middle, doubling through Paul Adams in the very first hand. St-Pierre raised Adams all-in pre-flop with , and Adams quickly called with . A queen on the flop sent St-Pierre to the top three in chips and crippled Adams. Adams shoved the last of his chips in three hands later with , and was eliminated by James Honeybone, who called with , which held up. Adams earned $8,740 for his ninth-place finish.
Dan Schreiber went all in over the top of Jozef Berec on the very next hand with . Berec called with , and the board came down . Berec's A-Q was good, and Schreiber picked up $13,113 for finishing in eighth place.
After losing two players in the first orbit, play slowed down considerably, with several hours passing before Roger Spets made his last all-in move. The micro-stacked Spets was all in by posting his big blind, and Ziv Bachar and Jozef Berec both limped in. The flop brought , and both players checked. Bachar and Berec checked it down on the turn and the river. Bachar tabled , good enough to bust Spets in seventh place ($17,484).
After Spets' elimination, the short-handed table and the rising blinds quickly forced the action. Seval Hægeland busted shortly after Spets when he pushed pre-flop and was called by St-Pierre and Ziv Bachar. They checked it down on a board of , and St-Pierre's was enough to bust Hægeland in sixth place ($21,855).
James Honeybone outlasted Hægeland by half an orbit until he got all in pre-flop against Jozef Berec with . The flop was good for Honeybone, who took the lead over Berec's , and the turn brought no help for Berec either, with the . But the on the river gave Berec his two-outer and sent Honeybone to the rail in fifth place for $28,412.
After starting the day with one of the shortest stacks, Michel St-Pierre made an impressive run, which ended in fourth place when he and Shinhan Sid Kim tangled. All the chips went in pre-flop, and St-Pierre revealed to Kim's . The flop of didn't help Kim and gave St-Pierre a flush draw, and the on the turn changed nothing. However, the on the river gave Kim a pair and sent St-Pierre home in fourth place with $34,968.
Kim held a chip lead as the three players went into dinner break, with the chip counts looking like this:

Seat 7: Sid Kim - 983,000
After dinner, a well-fed Bachar came back to retake the chip lead and after a lengthy three-way battle, he busted Kim in third place. Both players checked the flop of , and then Kim led out on the turn of . Bachar raised, and Kim went all in. Bachar called instantly with for two pair, while Kim showed for a flush draw. The on the river ended Kim's tournament, and he went home in 3rd place, collecting $48,081.
That hand left Bachar with nearly a 10:1 chip lead of Berec, as the stacks looked like this:

It only took a few hands for Bachar to put away his last remaining competitor when Berec re-raised all in pre-flop with , and Bachar called with . The flop came down , and Bachar was still leading. The turn brought the , pairing both hands, and when the hit the river, Bachar's ten kicker played, and Berec was eliminated in second place ($87,420). Ziv Bachar took home the APPT Seoul title and $139,872.
