Three Reasons Why Poker Women Should Head West

If you thought you heard the poker siren's song, it was probably emanating from Caesars, Binions, and the Commerce, who all are giving women good reasons to travel to the west coast next month.

Caesars Palace, known for their well structured and affordable daily tournaments, has just added a new tournament into their weekly mix. Tuesday night is now Ladies Night. Every Tuesday night at 6:00 pm, Caesars is hosting a $75 buy-in with a $5 add-on just for the gals. And if you have a tag along poker playing significant other, check out their special Valentines Day couples tournament on February 11th.

Don't forget that the Women's UPC event is on February 9th. You won't find a better bargain for a shot at fame and fortune. The event is a $230 + 35 buy-in, which is a pretty sweet price point for a chance at a televised final table. Are you as frugal as I am? Then you'll love the single table satellites being run on February 8th for an even cheaper way in.

You'll need a little more bankroll to play the Ladies Tournament at the LA Poker Classic, but this year's winner is going to get a lot of bang for the buck. The $1000 + 60 event is being held on February 3rd at the Commerce Casino and the winner will receive a $25,000 seat into the WPT Championship event AND a seat into the WPT Celebrity event. While the $25,000 entry fee for the WPT Championship will be deducted from the prize pool, there should be plenty left over for a decent pay day.

So if all you have to look forward to next month is another artic blast, consider heading to a warmer climate, where three casinos are vying for your poker playing attention. And who knows, maybe I'll be there – if only to take your picture at a final table.
