November Dates Set for Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge IV

With an estimated prize pool of over $2 million, the fourth annual Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge returns this November for a three-week run at Tulsa, OK's Cherokee Casino Resort. The series includes 31 events stretched across 20 days, November 1-20, 2007, culminating in a three-day Main Event November 18-20. That Main Event offers a $5,150 buy-in; last year's version attracted about 5,000 players and amassed a prize fund of over $1.7 million.

Several stars have already committed to playing in the event; past attendees have included TJ Cloutier, Mike Matusow, Berry Johnston, Todd Brunson, Kathy Liebert, Mike Sexton, Bob Ciaffone, Tom Franklin, Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi, David Levi, Morgan Machina and tournament host Nguyen. Last year's winner, Kido Pham, is also expected to return in defense of his title.

In addition to the Main Event, the series also includes $2,080- and $1,070-buyin events, on November 16th and 14th, respectively. Many events with lower buy-ins are available, with the series offering buy-in chances all the way down to the $120 level, with single-table and mega-satellite opportunities both before and during the SNPC, offering buy-ins all the way down to $45. Beside full-table NLHE, other game offerings include short-handed NLHE, at least one rebuy event, limit and pot-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, limit Omaha hi/lo, 7-card stud and H.O.R.S.E. Themed events include a 'Jack and Jill' team event, a ladies event and two senior events.

Specific dates and entry fees for SNPC events are available on the cherokeecasino.com website, within the Tulsa/PokerRoom area. Travel and accommodation information is also available elsewhere on the site.
