PokerStars Announces WCOOP VI Schedule

PokerStars has announced that the World Championship Of Online Poker, the largest online series in the poker world, will return for its sixth edition this September. WCOOP VI offers 23 tournaments spread out over 17 days, from September 14-30, 2007. $15 million in prize money is guaranteed, though if previous years' results are an indicator, the final total purse will be much higher. WCOOP VI will conclude with a no-limit hold'em event on September 30 with a $5 million guarantee. PokerStars will be awarding $1.5 million in free entries to the festivities as well.

The 2006 WCOOP, by comparison, offered 18 events over its 16-day run last September, with its $8 million in pre-tourney guarantees shattered by attendance, with the actual prizes paid exceeding $18.5 million. Last year's WCOOP V Main Event was won by J.C. Tran, who, playing as 'area23JC,' won $670,194 and the bracelet after a six-way deal that saw each player pocket at least $350,000.

Here's the complete WCOOP VI schedule, with more details available at pokerstars.com:
