Season 6 of the World Poker Tour sees the WPT head to Spain for the very first time. The WPT Spanish Championship will be held at the Casino Barcelona from October 11-16, 2007 and WPT Online and PokerNews are hosting two exclusive freerolls on Saturday September 1 at 14:00 EDT, and Saturday September 29 at 14:00 EDT.
Each freeroll winner will receive an amazing €9000 WPT Barcelona package which includes entry to the WPT Spanish Championship (€7,500+€300), plus €1,200 in cash for travel and accommodation.
In order to be eligible for the upcoming freeroll on Saturday September 1 at 14:00 EDT, players must first download World Poker Tour Online through PokerNews and register a new account. Players must then make a deposit and earn 15 MPPs (My Player Points) before Sunday August 26 in order to qualify. Eligible players will then need to register for the tournament which opens 24 hours before the freeroll.
The second World Poker Tour Online €9000 WPT Championship Freeroll commences Saturday September 29 at 14:00 EDT. This freeroll is also exclusive to players that download World Poker Tour Online through the PokerNews links, but you must earn 15 MPPs between Saturday September 1 and Sunday September 23. Players that have fulfilled all requirements will be able to register for the tournament once registrations opens 24 hours before the start time.
