PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Dates and Satellites Announced

PokerStars announced today that the 2009 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure will be taking place at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino on Paradise Island in The Bahamas from January 4th to January 10th, 2009. This year's tournament lineup will feature five No Limit Hold'em tournaments, including the $10,000 Main Event and a new $25,000 NLHE High Roller event. The Main Event is scheduled to run from January 5th to January 10th, with the final two days of the event airing on www.pokerstars.tv. The $25,000 High Roller Event will run over the course of three days. In addition to the two feature NLHE events, there will also be events with buy-ins of $1,000, $2,000, and $5,000.

Last year, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier took home the Main Event top prize of $2,000,000; ElkY will be returning to defend his title. "Competing and winning last year was such a great experience. The PCA playing field is always diverse and competitive because of the amount of PokerStars qualifiers - the location can't be beat and I can't wait to go back," said ElkY.

Satellites for the PCA begin September 24th on PokerStars, where players can qualify for exclusive PCA prize packages consisting of the $10,000 event buy-in, hotel accommodations, food credit, and $1,000 in travel and spending money. Visit pokerstars.net for more information.
