Online Poker Recap: Freeman, 'TheZadester' Collect Big Paydays

PokerStars Super Tuesday

The PokerStars Super Tuesday attracted 379 entrants, falling just a bit short of its $400,000 guarantee and thereby putting a small overlay in place. Notable finishers outside the final table included Iftarii in 10th place ($5,600), Alex "AJKHoosier1" Kamberis in 26th place ($2,800) and Jamie "TheCronic420" Rosen in 32nd place ($2,600). The chip counts to start the final table were these:

Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman - 270,300
TiltHappens - 166,595
Jason "poker_lord76" Brown - 152,790
Ryan "ONEyouENVY" Rapaski - 128,027
jullle - 100,417
yurabond - 92,560
souumadiva - 90,091
max_pot - 79,082
Kevin "KevBoyStar" Stani - 57,138

The first to fall was max_pot. With the blinds and antes at 3,000/6,000/600, max_pot moved all in for 68,982 from the cutoff with (A-Spades)(8-Diamonds) and TiltHappens called from the big blind with (A-Diamonds)(J-Hearts). The board brought no help to max_pot, who finished in ninth for $7,000. Leaving the table next was Kevin "KevBoyStar" Stani. After the blinds and antes went up to 4,000/8,000/800, Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman made it 20,162 to go from middle position. In the big blind, Stani moved all in for 109,476 with (10-Clubs)(10-Spades) but Freeman quickly called with (Q-Clubs)(Q-Spades). The board ran out (3-Spades)(5-Diamonds)(Q-Hearts)(6-Diamonds)(9-Hearts) and Stani was out, making $10,000 for his showing. Jason "poker_lord76" Brown hit the rail shortly after. After suffering a tough river beat, Brown went all in for his remaining 47,013 with (K-Hearts)(4-Clubs) but was up against jullle's (A-Clubs)(K-Clubs). No four appeared, and Brown finished in seventh place for $14,000.

The next elimination came at the 5,000/10,000/1,000 level. On the button, Ryan "ONEyouENVY" Rapaski moved all in for 100,660, and from the small blind, yurabond reraised all in 175,990, hoping to isolate. TiltHappens in the big blind woke up with (Q-Diamonds)(Q-Hearts), which led both Rapaski's (K-Diamonds)(8-Diamonds) and yurabond's (7-Hearts)(7-Clubs). However, the best starting hand fell short as the board rolled out (5-Clubs)(7-Spades)(5-Spades)(3-Spades)(9-Diamonds), eliminating Rapaski in sixth ($18,000) and crippling TiltHappens, who exited a few hands later in fifth ($23,000).

Next to head to the virtual payout line was souumadiva. At the 6,000/12,000/1,200 level and down to 46,869 in chips, souumadiva moved all in from the cutoff and found action from Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman in the small blind. Freeman held A-Q to souumadiva's A-J. No jack would fall on the board as souumadiva finished in fourth for $33,600.

The chip counts at three-handed were as follows:

yurabond - 581,291
Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman - 332,469
jullle - 223,240

Scott Freeman was able to grab hold of the chip lead soon, as jullle exited in third. From the small blind, jullle moved all in for 199,942 with (A-Clubs)(5-Hearts) but ran into Freeman's (A-Hearts)(J-Spades). The board came out a safe (4-Diamonds)(9-Diamonds)(8-Hearts)(7-Hearts)(9-Hearts) for Freeman, and jullle collected $44,000 for his run. Going into heads-up play, Scott Freeman held a 9:2 chip lead and it did not take long for him to close out the match. Freeman shoved all in with (K-Hearts)(7-Hearts) and yurabond called for 160,482 with (6-Spades)(6-Hearts). The race ended quickly when the flop came out (K-Spades)(K-Diamonds)(7-Diamonds). Yurabond would need a miracle (runner-runner sizes) to win, but it did not happen and yurabond took home $59,000 as runner-up. Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman's win was worth $78,000.

Final results:

1. Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman - $78,000
2. yurabond - $59,000
3. jullle - $44,000
4. souumadiva - $33,600
5. TiltHappens - $23,000
6. Ryan "ONEyouENVY" Rapaski - $18,000
7. Jason "poker_lord76" Brown - $14,000
8. Kevin "KevBoyStar" Stani - $10,000
9. max_pot - $7,000

Full Tilt Monday $1,000

The first elimination of this event's final table came only seven hands in. Umichael21 moved all in from the small blind for 151,640, and Gary "GB2005" Bogdanski snap-called from the big blind with (J-Diamonds)(J-Hearts) for his remaining 45,601. The flop comes down (7-Spades)(8-Clubs)(6-Clubs). The turn is the (A-Diamonds), giving Umichael21 a pair of aces. The (Q-Clubs) river brings no help to GB2005, who exits in ninth. Seven hands later, with the blinds at 2,000/5,000/500, the next exit occurred. Sweetescape raised from the big blind to 31,250, and jpapola, who limped from late position, moved all in for 145,021. Sweetescape called and flipped over (A-Diamonds)(A-Clubs), while jpapola revealed (A-Hearts)(4-Clubs). Sweetescape flopped the remaining ace for a set and turned a boat, with jpapola is eliminated in eighth place.

Blinds had moved to 3000/6000/750 when PJSKEAKS exited in seventh. In a battle of the blinds, GamBaLLer21 raised to 19,800 from the small, PJSNEAKS moved all in for 20,000 more and GamBaLLer21 called with (Q-Clubs)(9-Spades). PJSNEAKS showed Ac7h, but the (4-Hearts)(5-Hearts)(Q-Diamonds) giving GamBaLLer21 a pair of queens. The turn and river blanked and the final table was narrowed to six. Two hands later, GamBaLLer21 moved all in from the button, putting 6 Feet Under to the test in the small blind. 6 Feet Under called with his (A-Diamonds)(7-Diamonds) and was ahead of GamBaLLer21's (K-Hearts)(9-Spades), but exited when GamBaLLer21 caught a king on the flop and an ace failed to appear.

Three hands later, with the blinds up to 4,000/8,000/1,000, titanom32 was bounced in fifth. He raised from late position to 20,105, sweetescape reraised from the button to 48,750, and titanom32 tanked before moving all in for 192,601. sweetescape called with (A-Spades)(Q-Diamonds) while titanom32 had (10-Diamonds)(10-Spades). The flop was (2-Clubs)(6-Clubs)(9-Hearts), but the turn was the (A-Diamonds) to move sweetescape in front, and the (4-Hearts) river completed the knockout.

With blinds up to 5,000/10,000 and a 1,000 ante, UMichael21 moved all in from under the gun for 79,251. Sweetescape called from the big blind and showed (A-Clubs)(4-Diamonds) to UMichael21's (10-Spades)(6-Clubs). The flop came (7-Clubs)(8-Spades)(3-Clubs). The turn and river are both deuces ((2-Hearts) and (2-Diamonds)). Sweetescape's hand held and he remained the chip leader with three players still alive, scooping the 156,790 pot. Soon after, GamBaLLer21 completed from the small blind for 5,000 and sweetescape checked from the big blind. The flop comes down (10-Spades)(3-Spades)(6-Spades). GamBaLLer21 checked and sweetescape bet about 16,000. GamBaLLer21 check-raised all in to 184,536. Sweetescape called with (A-Spades)(3-Diamonds) for the nut flush draw, while GamBaLLer21 held (Q-Spades)(6-Diamonds). The (A-Diamonds) gave sweetescape the higher pair and the river (K-Hearts) concluded GamBaLLer21's exit.

After about thirty hands of battling heads up, TheZadster and sweetescape got the chips in on a coin flop -- TheZadster showed (A-Diamonds)(Q-Spades) and sweetescape revealed (7-Diamonds)(7-Hearts). The (A-Hearts) flopped and TheZadster avoided a seven on the turn or river. TheZadster collected a nice payday of $93,750.

Final results:

1. TheZadester - $93,750
2. sweetescape - $60,000
3. GamBaLLer21 - $45,000
