The final tables of the two major early-week online poker tourneys shared a common theme, and that theme was named Brian Hawkins. Hawkins final-tabled both the PokerStars Super Tuesday and the Full Tilt Monday $1,000, though his efforts to claim the victories were foiled, as he finished in third and fifth, respectively. Dreamgirl3 captured the top honors at PokerStars, while HU4ROLLZ took down the win on Monday night at Full Tilt.

PokerStars Super Tuesday

The PokerStars Super Tuesday attracted a field of 378 this week. Among the best finishers that just missed the final table were Ty "puffinmypurp" Reiman in 10th place ($5,600), Steve "gboro780" Gross in 11th ($5,600), Theo "pittrounder" Tran in 14th ($4,800), Phil "USCphildo" Collins in 15th ($4,800), James "mig.com" Mackey in 16th ($4,000) and Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy in 18th place ($4,000). Eliminated first was -db- at 2,000/4,000/400. Robert "Craps4Dinner" Saltiel opened to 10,238 under the gun and -db- was the lone caller from the big blind. The flop came 9♥5♥2♥ and -db- shoved for 40,857 with J♣9♣ for top pair, but Saltiel called and tabled AdAs. The turn and river were blanks for -db-, who finished ninth for $7,000. DareYou2Call busted next after losing a race with A♦K♣ against oneandahalf's 8♣8♦. The board came jack high and DareYou2Call was the eighth-place finisher for $10,000. Tony "DrunkPPlaya" Gargano was eliminated in seventh after Robert Saltiel made it 10,238 to go from the button and Gargano shoved for 96,191 with A♣7♠. Unfortunately, he ran into Saltiel's K♥K♦ and the board brought no ace. Tony "DrunkPPlaya" Gargano won $14,000. Pist0nH0nda was sent to the rail a few hands later after running A♠5♦ into Brian "SNo0oWMAN" Hawkins' A♣J♠. The board came Q♦J♦4♥Q♠6♠ and Pist0nH0nda was felted in sixth for $18,000.

At 3,000/6,000/600, oneandahalf's tournament came to an end. Under the gun, oneandahalf made it 18,000 to play and dreamgirl3 raised to 49,950 from the cutoff. Oneandahalf then shoved for 153,486 with A♠Q♣ and dreamgirl3 called with 9♣9♣. The board ran out 8♥9♥3♠2♠3♥ and oneandahalf was sent packing in fifth for $23,000. Robert "Craps4Dinner" Saltiel fell later in the level on a tough beat. Saltiel made it 16,238 to go from the button and dreamgirl3 raised enough to set him all in from the big blind. Saltiel called and tabled A♣A♥ and crushed dreamgirl3's A♠Q♠, until the board rolled out 9♠8♠10♥K♠K♣. Saltiel's pocket rockets were flushed away as he collected $33,600 for fourth place.

A long three-handed battle ensued and dreamgirl3 held nearly 90% of the chips at one point before a collapse that nearly led to a third-place finish. All in against Brian "SNo0oWMAN" Hawkins, dreamgirl3 held A♦5♦ to Hawkins' A♠10♥. The board came 9♥3♦K♣5♣3♥ as dreamgirl3 spiked a five to take most of SNo0oWMAN's chips. Hawkins was eliminated a few hands later to finish in third place for $44,000.

Dreamgirl3 recovered the chip lead early in the heads-up duel before claiming victory. On the button, vui-qua-di called and dreamgirl3 raised it up to 41,000 from the big blind. Vui-qua-di responded with an all-in for 371,744 and dreamgirl3 called, flipping up A♦K♣ to vui-qua-di's A♥7♠. The A♣3♠Q♠ flop kept dreamgirl3 in the lead, but the 4♠ turn card gave vui-qua-di outs to a flush. The river came a harmless 9♦ and the tournament was over. Vui-qua-di finished as the runner-up for $59,000, while dreamgirl3 took down The Super Tuesday for $78,000.

The $1,000 Monday on Full Tilt drew a crowd of 369 with the winner receiving $92,250. On the button, Brian "SN8WMAN" Hawkins raised to 8,950 and sweetescape made a stand from the small blind for 52,715. Hawkins called with A♥10♠ and led sweetescape's J♠9♠. The board ran out 2♦6♥9♦10♦Q♦ as Hawkins recovered to win the hand. Sweetescape earned $7,380 for ninth place. ScoutsDad departed after blinds and antes moved to 2,000/4,000/500. From middle position, ScoutsDad moved all in for 31,808 and Joe "hoodini10" Udine reraised to isolate the action. ScoutsDad's As3d could not catch up to Udine's 10♠10♥ and was busted in eighth for $9,225. Corey "muchaka" Cheresnick exited next. No ace found the table and Mptbaby busted the next hand, finishing sixth for $18,450. A run of bad luck and bad timing ended Brian "SN8WMAN" Hawkins' tournament at 3,000/6,000/750. First his pocket kings fell to HU4ROLLZ's A-9 offsuit when an ace hit the river, and in the second hand he ran pocket nines into Corey "Comandr_Cool" Burbick's pocket aces. A third ace on the flop sent Hawkins home in fifth place for $25,830. MOHNEN was felted shortly after that, running K♠9♠ into HU4ROLLZ's K♥Q♣. The board came 2♠3♠J♦8♥3♥ and MOHNEN was out in fourth for $34,132.50.

At 5,000/10,000/1,000, Corey "Comandr_Cool" Burbick succumbed after a long three-way battle. Burbick's A♠2♥ could not overtake HU4ROLLZ's A♥J♠ as the board came out 9♦Q♠8♣8♠6♥. Burbick collected $44,280. Heads-up play began with HU4ROLLZ holding over 800,000 in chips while Udine was just under 300,000. The match ended eight hands later as Udine ran 4♠4♣ into HU4ROLLZ's 5♠5♣. The board ran out 3♦Q♥K♦10♥8♣ and Udine finished as the runner-up for $59,040. HU4ROLLZ captured the Full Tilt Monday $1,000 for $92,250.
