$2,000 Cash Freeroll Series at PokerStars

There are many things to look forward to in the new year including the fantastic $2,000 Cash Freeroll Series at PokerStars from January to March 2009. This Series is exclusive to PokerNews players and gives you the chance to win some juicy cash prizes every single week.

The short version: To qualify – use a new/existing PokerNews referred PokerStars account to earn points in a calendar month, to receive tickets for entry to freerolls in the following calendar month.

The long version: To qualify – download PokerStars through PokerNews, register a new account, make a minimum deposit and earn 150 VPPs in the calendar month prior. For every 150 VPPs you earn, you will be issued with a '150 Point Ticket' which can be used to register for the freeroll of your choice in the following month. For example, points earned in the calendar month of December, will go towards tickets for entry to freerolls in January, similarly, points earned in January will give you access to freerolls in February. Better still, earn more points and receive more 150 Point Tickets (up to a maximum of five) so you can possibly enter all the $2k freerolls in the following month.

Tickets issued in a given month are only valid for that month and will be issued at the start of that month. For example, tickets for points earned in December will only be issued in January for use in January.

As a holiday sweetener, all points earned in the entire month of December 2008 will count towards the January 2009 freerolls – so some of you may well already be qualified. Watch out for these 150 Point Tickets in your account come January. Happy new year!
