Top honors in the Sunday Million went to 'jnic00', while 'dusnguyen' captured the $750,000 Guarantee. The final tables played out in this manner:

PokerStars Sunday Million

The PokerStars Sunday Million drew of gathering of 8,500 entrants to create a total prize pool of $1,700,000. Among the best finishers short of the final table were Joe "ender555" Ebanks in 20th place ($3,400), Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman in 40th ($2,890), Bryan "Squirrely1" Sapp in 45th ($2,890) and James "jcamby33" Campbell in 69th ($2,550). The chip counts to start the final table were as follows:

marmotte21 - 21,501,474
i_lv_beer - 14,751,124
Kris Merlot - 14,146,860
jnic00 - 13,538,955

rebel1100 - 3,877,560
Yann "LastChance11" Brosolo - 3,150,250
Juanjo "calytry" Ayza - 2,732,379

Rebel1100 busted first from the final table at the 150,000/300,000/30,000 level. From the small blind, rebel1100 min-raised to 600,000 and PaperLamp re-raised to 1,500,000 from the big bind. Without hesitation, rebel1100 went all in for 3,517,560 with (A-Hearts)(Q-Spades) and PaperLamp opted to call holding (K-Clubs)(J-Hearts). The board came (2-Spades)(7-Spades)(7-Clubs)(9-Clubs)(J-Spades) as the river jack sent rebel1100 home in ninth place for $11,900. Flamarion was the next victim at this level after making an opening raise to 720,000 from middle position. A call from marmotte21 in the big blind brought out a (7-Hearts)(10-Hearts)(2-Diamonds) flop. Marmotte21 led out 1,200,000 and Flamarion raised all in for 3,762,648 with (Q-Spades)(Q-Hearts). Marmotte21 called with (7-Clubs)(6-Clubs) and caught a fortunate river (7-Diamonds) for trips. Flamarion finished in eighth place for $19,550. Yann "LastChance11" Brosolo made his exit late in the level when he ran (K-Diamonds)(Q-Hearts) into Juanjo "calytry" Ayza's (A-Diamonds)(Q-Diamonds). The board brought no king for Brosolo as he finished in seventh place for $29,750.

PaperLamp was felted at 200,000/400,000/40,000. From the cutoff, jnic00 made it 850,750 to go and PaperLamp called from the big blind. After the turn, with the board showing (5-Clubs)(Q-Clubs)(8-Hearts)(4-Diamonds), PaperLamp three-bet all in with (Q-Spades)(7-Diamonds) and jnic000 called with (5-Hearts)(4-Clubs). A lot of cards could save PaperLamp's tournament life, but the river (5-Diamonds) instead filled jnic00 up. PaperLamp earned $42,500 for the sixth-place showing. Juanjo "calytry" Ayza hit the rail at 250,000/500,000/50,000. Under the gun jnic00 raised to 1,111,111 and Ayza shoved from the button, holding (A-Spades)(9-Spades), for 5,278,379. A quick call by jnic00 revealed (J-Clubs)(J-Spades) and when the board rolled out (J-Hearts)(K-Diamonds)(2-Spades)(6-Diamonds)(10-Hearts), Juanjo "calytry" Ayza was out in fifth place for $59,500. Kris Merlot was sent packing later that level. Matmotte21 raised to 1,500,000 from the cutoff and Kris Merlot went all in for 9,166,860 from the big blind with (10-Clubs)(10-Spades). Marmotte21 held (K-Spades)(K-Diamonds) and called, winning the pot as the board ran out (8-Diamonds)(5-Hearts)(Q-Spades)(J-Diamonds)(2-Diamonds). Kris Merlot received $76,500 for fourth.

A deal between the remaining three players guaranteed each the following amount, with the eventual winner to receive an additional $30,000:

jnic00 - $148,788.86
marmotte21 - $132,696.59
i_lv_beer - $127,284.55

At 300,000/600,000/60,000, marmotte21 went all in from the button for 12,271,898 with (Q-Hearts)(10-Diamonds) and was called by jnic00 in the big blind with (A-Clubs)(Q-Diamonds). The board came (2-Clubs)(9-Hearts)(J-Clubs)(4-Hearts)(4-Diamonds) and marmotte21 finished in third place for $132,696.59.

Heads-up play began with jnic00 holding a slight chip lead, and he soon won the event. Down to 13,362,320, i_lv_beer shoved with (K-Spades)(3-Spades) and jnic00 called with Ad6c. The board ran out (8-Diamonds)(7-Spades)(2-Diamonds)(10-Diamonds)(Q-Spades) and i_lv_beer came up short in the heads-up battle, finishing as runner-up for $127,284.55.
