FTOPS XI Event #6, $500+35 PLO 6-Max: 'NoPasaran' Runs the Table

Event #6 of the eleventh Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS XI) was a $500+35 pot-limit Omaha six-max tourney with a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000. A crowd of 896 entrants gathered and easily trumped the guarantee, making a total prize pool of $448,000 and a first place payday of $95,648. Notable finishers outside the final included Nicholas "CapTinBisKuit" Blumenthal in seventh place ($9,632), frenetic in ninth place ($6,944), Phil "USCphildo" Collins in 13th ($$3,852.80) and Dan "WiLDmAn75" Buzgon in 14th ($3,852.80). The chips come and go quickly in PLO and that was the case for KipsterDK, who was the first to be eliminated from the final table. In his last hand, with blinds at 15,000/30,000, KipsterDK opened to 66,500 on the button and NoPasaran re-raised to 229,500 in the small blind. KipsterDK called and the flop came . NoPasaran led 489,000 and KipsterDK called, landing the on the turn. NoPasaran went all in and KipsterDK called all in for 435,339 with for second pair and a straight draw. NoPasaran held for top set and nut flush draw, having a huge lead heading to the river. The did not improve KipsterDK, who finished in sixth for $15,456. The Great Hug went out next. On a flop of , The Great Hug went all in for 74,062 with for a straight draw and was up against NoPasaran's for middle pair. The turn and river came and as The Great Hug collected $24,192 for fifth.

ATLANTIS_DK exited during the 20,000/40,000 level. Up against NoPasaran's , ATLANTIS_DK's fell when the board ran out . ATLANTIS_DK's fourth-place showing was worth $34,048. Jay "THE_GOLDMINE" Kinkade bowed out in third place a few hands later. NoPasaran opened to 140,000 on the button and Kinkade called from the big blind. The flop came and Kinkade bet 300,000, with NoPasaran calling. The turn brought the and Kinkade went all in for 117,214 with . NoPasaran called with for third pair and big straight draw. NoPasaran completed a clean sweep of the final table to win the tournament. A limped pot between the two brought out a flop of .
