$10,000 WCOOP Freeroll on PokerStars- Last Chance to Qualify!

WCOOP

There is still time to book your place in our amazing freeroll which will award a $5,200 WCOOP Main Event seat to the winner, but you have less than a week to qualify!

September sees the start of the biggest online poker festival of the year as PokerStars will be hosting their 9th annual World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). Last year nearly $52 Million in prize money was awarded and this year $50 million has already been guaranteed. It starts on Sunday September 5th and with 59 events in total over 21 days, there will be lots of opportunity to win a life changing sum of money.

Fresh off the success of two amazing $10,000 Sunday Million Freerolls, we are once again giving Club PokerNews members the chance to get in on the action for free. That’s because on September 5 at 15:00 ET we are holding the PokerNews $10k WCOOP Freeroll. One lucky player will win their seat in the WCOOP Main Event on Sunday September 26 which is worth $5,200. A further 23 players will bag $215 WCOOP tickets which can be used in one of 23 $215 events during the festival.

Qualifying for this amazing freeroll is very easy. Simply download PokerStars via our links , make a deposit and generate 250 VPPs between Aug 1 (00:00 EST) through Aug 31 (23:59 EST). Manual registration is required for qualified players after Aug 31. Just look for PokerNews $10k WCOOP Freeroll in the Private tab of the Tournament lobby.

Existing PokerNews referred PokerStars players are also welcome as long as they meet the VPP requirement in August.

Last year Yevgeniy ‘Jovial Gent’ Timoshenko outlasted a field of 2,144 of the world’s best online players to win the $5,200 main event and $1,715,200 in first place prize money. You could be in with a shot to do the very same for free. This really is the WSOP of online poker and you would be mad to miss out.

Where else but PokerNews can you find regular five figure freerolls like this? This is the third PokerStars freeroll we have hosted in as many months that has boasted a $10,000 prize pool and tickets to play in tournaments with million dollar prize pools. The $10,000 Sunday Million Freeroll on July 11 attracted just 740 runners and the August 8 freeroll attracted about 100 which, when you consider 239 places paid out, made this an awesome value freeroll.

Qualifying is Easy

To give you an idea how long it will take to earn 250 VPPs to qualify for this freeroll:

A $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Player would have to play around 1000 hands
A $1/$2 No Limit Player would have to play roughly 500 hands
A $1/$2 Limit Hold’em Player would need to play about 750 hands
A $0.25/$0.50 PLO Player would need to grind about 700 hands

And what’s more, new players will have earned $15 of their 100% up to $600 sign up bonus by the time they have qualified for the freeroll.

Not only that, PokerStars have announced the return of the popular Extreme Satellites with $500,000 in added value WCOOP seats running right now!
