As you can see from the table above, this next freeroll is the last $5,000 freeroll that will be played to a standard no-limit hold'em structure. After this freeroll is completed, the next four will be played to a six-max format, so if full-ring no-limit hold'em is your thing, get involved in this next $5,000 freeroll while you still can.

In addition to winning a share of $5,000 every week for 12 weeks, players will also have the chance to earn leader board points for the duration of the promotion. The top 30 finishers in each weekly freeroll will be awarded between 5 and 100 points, depending on their finishing position. The 15 players who accumulate the most points over the course of the promotion will win a share of $7,500. Check out the terms and conditions tab for the details on the points structure.

On Feb. 27, two freerolls ran. This is because PokerStars experienced a technical problem with the Feb. 20 freeroll and had to cancel it. When the rescheduled freeroll ran, it did so with 1,081 runners, of who 234 made it into the money places. In this tournament, a min-cash was worth $5.00, a final table appearance $50.00, and the eventual champion took home $800.00. The recipient of the champions prize and the 100 leaderboard points was "joso76" of Croatia who defeated Bulgaria's "kras80" heads up to claim top honors.

The second $5,000 freeroll saw 866 players take to the PokerStars virtual felt and battle for almost seven hours. Commiserations to "sajt@4", the unfortunate player who burst the money bubble and paved the way to the surviving 180 players who made it into the money. The eventual winner was "win51888" of China who took home the $722.62 first-place prize after chopping with India's "Ulti_1mate" in the one-on-one battle at the end of the tournament.
