Arsenal Football Club Welcomes Bodog as Official Partner in Asian Market 0001

The Arsenal Football Club, one of the leading clubs in world football that was founded in 1886, has announced Bodog as its Official Asian Betting Partner in a three year, multi-million pound deal. The deal, which excludes Europe, gives Bodog rights to capitalize on the Gunners’ Asian fan base and popularity by developing marketing initiatives and consumer promotions.

“Our tours give our fans beyond the UK a great opportunity to see the team in action, and this Asian tour was no different with our first-team squad playing in front of hundreds of thousands of passionate supporters,” said Vinai Venkatesham, Head of Global Partnerships at Arsenal. “As our fanbase in Asia continues to grow rapidly, working in partnership with companies like Bodog who have long-term roots in the region, provides a strong platform to further engage with Arsenal fans in Asia.”

Arsenal, which boasts the highest paid membership scheme in world football with 200,000 members, has won the English League Champions 13 times, FA Cup winners 10 times, League Cup winners twice and European Cup Winners’ Cup (1994) and European Fairs Cup (1970) winners once each. In addition, the Arsenal Ladies are the most successful English club in women's football.

Bodog’s Marketing Director Izhar Biran added: “The Premier League’s popularity in Asia is well documented and some clubs have been quicker than others to realise that potential. Arsenal has been particularly pro-active in the region for a number of years and the recent tour only serves to highlight that point. The trust and loyalty both Arsenal and the Premier League stand for makes this the perfect partnership to continue the phenomenal growth of the Bodog brand in Asia.”
