Danny "Miami Boss" Suied Wins Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Event #1 for $110,349
The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) kicked off last week with Event #1 $350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em, a five-day tournament that attracted 2,888 entries over six starting flights and created a prize pool of $866,400. In the end, it was local player and well-known poker pro Daniel “Miami Boss” Suied who walked away with the title and $110,349 first-place prize.
“I love this place,” Suied told the the SHRPO Live Blog after the win. “The Hard Rock is my home. It’s great to get this one done.”

According to the SHRPO Live Blog, only 462 players returned to action on Day 2, of which just 250 got paid. Among those to earn a payday were Victor Milian (246th - $725), Michael Batherwich (199th - $743), Morris Heider (143rd - $863), Noah Novick (97th - $1,321), Ronald Tourony (44th - $2,590), and Tuan Pham (19th - $3,626). The final table was reached after midnight, and play was halted with eight players remaining.
Upon their return, four players quickly hit the rail, and that was when Suied came on strong. During five-handed play, Raminder Singh shoved all in holding the 10♠10♥ and Suied called with the A♦K♠. Suied managed to catch, and he sent Singh out the door in fifth place while taking over the chip lead.
That hand ended up being the last of the tournament as the final four players went on a break and worked out a chop. There was $365,594 in prize money remaining, and it was decided Suied would take home $110,349 and the title of champion.
“It’s good to pop one,” Suied said. “I had a couple final tables but it’s nice to get a six-digit score.”
The SHRPOC series features 24 events including a $5,300 Main Event with a $10 million guarantee on Aug. 28, which will be followed by a $100,000 Super High Roller on Sept. 1. The SHRPOC Main Event begins a day after the European Poker Tour Barcelona concludes, which gives players enough time to play in all the events if they so choose.
