Season 3 of Hollywood Poker Open Kicks Off in Lawrenceburg, Indiana
Season 3 of the Hollywood Poker Open (HPO) will feature eight stops, the first of which kicked off today at the Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg in Indiana. The stop features a dozen events but culminates on Saturday, Nov. 22 with a $1,115 HPO Regional Main Event, which in addition to a nice payday will award the winner a seat into the season-ending championship at the M Resort Casino Spa in Las Vegas.
The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will also be on hand to capture all the action from the Main Event.

Not only will PokerNews be at each HPO stops, so will 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Chris Moneymaker, who returns as tour ambassador for Season 3. In Season 2, Moneymaker won the Hollywood Poker Open St. Louis Regional Championship and he looks to capture a second title while chumming it up with players from around the country.

Last season, the HPO sent more than 200 promotional winners to the Championship Event. HPO Tournament Director Bill Bruce says the plan is the same in Season 3.
The Season 3 of the HPO schedule features eight stops, including a new one at the Hollywood Casino Toledo from Feb. 5-16. Each stop will include a Main Event as well as qualifiers for the season-ending championship at the M Resort Casino Spa in Las Vegas. Last season, the HPO sent more than 200 promotional winners to the Championship Event. HPO Tournament Director Bill Bruce says the plan is the same in Season 3.
"We plan to not only give away hundreds of seats to the Championship again, but we will also implement similar seat winner promotions to the Regional tournament series as well," said Bruce, who has served as the HPO director since the tour's inception. "These HPO tournament fields are such a great mix of traveling poker professionals and local promotion winners which makes the tournaments really attractive to all levels of poker players."
