Poker Central To Air Global Poker League Starting in April

Global Poker League

The Global Poker League (GPL) and Poker Central have announced a partnership that will see Mediarex Sports & Entertainment's GPL air on the world's only 24/7 Poker™ TV network.

According to the release, "Poker Central will air both live and recorded GPL matches in primetime twice weekly beginning in early April." These matches are said to be exclusive to Poker Central and will include both pregame and postgame shows for increased coverage.

Poker Central will also air the GPL playoffs and GPL World Championship.

"We are excited to partner with the Global Poker League in this new and exciting approach to poker," said Clint Stinchcomb, CEO of Poker Central. "The Global Poker League's innovations, technology, and staging is sure to keep fans riveted!"

The announcement comes on the heels of the GPL releasing the names of the 12 franchises and the managers of each.

"Both Poker Central and GPL were both created for the same reason — to take poker to the masses and to make it as popular as any other professional sport," said Alex Dreyfus, CEO and founder of the Global Poker League. "PokerCentral will help GPL connect to fans worldwide."

The 12 franchises and managers can be viewed in the table below, and the group of them will all get together Feb. 25, 2016, in Los Angeles at the SLS Hote in Beverley Hills for GPL Draft Day.
