The 2016 Spring Championship of Online Poker is in full force at PokerStars with 39 events in the books heading into Friday.

The series, which initially promoted 55 events broken out into low, medium, and high buy-ins to create a total of 165 different tournaments with a combined $40 million in guaranteed prize pools, has added another event on Monday, May 23 for a total of 56 events of 168 tournaments.

You can check out our recap here on the first 11 events, highlighted by the United Kingdom's Luke "lb6121" Schwartz winning his fifth SCOOP title, just one behind the record held by Calvin "cal42688" Anderson, and you can check out our recap through 30 events highlighted by Shawn "buck21" Buchanan matching Schwartz by winning his fourth and fifth SCOOP titles.

For this article, however, we'll be focusing on many other winners in this year's online poker festival.

May 16-17: SCOOP #31-33

United Kingdom's Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford won SCOOP-31-H: $2,100 NL Hold'em [4-Max], $250K Guaranteed for $119,778 after agreeing to a deal with the three other players to reach the final table. Two players from Mexico, Sergi "srxakgirona" Reixach and Pablo "pablotenisis" Fernández, finished in second and third place for $100,294 and $59,672, respectively, while Belarus' Aliaksei "ale6ka" Boika finished in fourth for $88,778.

The next event, SCOOP-32-H: $5,200 PL Omaha [6-Max,5-Stack], $300K Guaranteed, tripled its guaranteed prize pool with 180 players joining in on the action to generate a huge $900,000 prize pool. Germany's "BriDge2PaiN" finished on top of a star-studded final table which included United Kingdom's Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi, Finland's Ilkka "Bernard-bb" Koskinen, Germany's George "GeorgeDanzer" Danzer, and Team PokerStars member Jason "JasonMercier" Mercier to claim the top prize of $216,000.

Mercier also appeared on the final table in the next event, SCOOP-33-H: $2,100 Stud Hi/Lo, $75K Guaranteed, once again finishing in sixth place. United Kingdom's "RunGodlike" shipped this event for $54,390, while Marco "NoraFlum" Johnson claimed the runner-up prize of $37,740.

May 17-18: SCOOP #34-36

United Kingdom's Tom "tjbentham" Bentham, who now waves the Brazil flag when playing on PokerStars, began the second day in the lead of SCOOP-34-H: $2,100 PL Omaha [6-Max], $200K Guaranteed. He parlayed this into the lead heading into the final table and remained on top while the rest of play unfolded to claim his first SCOOP title worth an impressive $189,200.

In most weeks, the Super Tuesday is the biggest mid-week tournament on PokerStars. During the SCOOP this tournament gets even bigger with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. Brazil's "felipe52" banked a huge prize of $258,000 after finishing on top of the 1,518-player field.

Many big names appeared on the final table in this tournament, including American Olivier "Adonis112" Busquet (2nd - $189,750), fellow countrymate Elio "smokrokflock" Fox (3rd - $144,058), Simon "simon1471" Higgins (4th - $103,224), American living in Mexico Joshua "slayerv1fan" Hoesel (5th - $75,141), Brazil's Luiz 'justholdplz' Duarte (6th - $59,961), England's Harry "Iamapoopie" Lodge (7th - $44,781), and popular poker streamer Evan "SenorPokes" Jarvis (9th - $16,394).

To follow this up, Mercier nailed down his third SCOOP High final table of the week, taking fifth place in SCOOP-36-H: $2,100 FL Hold'em [6-Max], $100K Guaranteed for $22,490. However, Poland's "bartek901", who now lives in Mexico, was the star of the show, winning this tournament for $83,040.

May 18-19: SCOOP #37-39

One might not think of razz as a popular format for poker tournaments. However, 127 players entered the SCOOP-37-H: $2,100 Razz, $100K Guaranteed to generate a $252,000 prize pool, or more than two-and-a-half times the guarantee. Russia's "otitov" won the event for $62,230 to claim his second SCOOP title this year after previously winning an even bigger $235,304 after finishing on top of a heads-up deal in the SCOOP-10-H: $1,050 NL Hold'em [Super Tuesday SE], $1M Guaranteed.

Well-known poker grinder Joshua "slayerv1fan" Hoesel has appeared on numerous SCOOP final tables and finally broke through with his first SCOOP victory in a big way by taking down SCOOP-38-H: $2,100 NL Hold'em, $500K Guaranteed. Although Hoesel claimed his first title, he was not the biggest money winner in the deal due to agreeing to a chip chop with Slovenia's "hurrrrican3", who at the time had the chip lead. Never-the-less, both players should be happy with huge paydays with Hoesel banking $245,783 and "hurrrrican3" taking home $262,477.

Over in the SCOOP-39-H: $2,100 NL Omaha Hi/Lo [6-Max], $100K Guaranteed, Jason Mercier nailed down his fourth SCOOP High final table of the week taking fifth place for $29,040. One name was as big as the other on this final table which also included American poker refugee Nick "TheTakeover" Schulman (third place - $58,080), United Kingdom's Adam "Adamyid" Owen (fourth place - $38,720), and Sweden's Niklas "lena900" Åstedt (sixth place - $19,844).

However, it was two well-known poker refugees to take home the lions share of prize pool after agreeing to a heads-up deal. Paul "paulgees81" Volpe wound up with all the chips after the final cards were dealt to win his second SCOOP title in his poker career worth $93,300. However, Mark "SHIPP ITT" Herm walked away with a few more bucks than his fellow countrymate taking home $95,460 due to holding a chip advantage at the time the duo agreed to a deal.

Volpe should feel confident going into the upcoming World Series of Poker this summer as not only did he notched this big online win, but a little more than a month ago he won big on the live felts by shipping the 2016 Borgata Spring Poker Open $2,700 Championship for $356,255.
