PokerStars has been bringing the heat over the last few weeks. Its New Year Series was a huge success, and the platform's new and improved Rewards Program, which can see players earn 60% rakeback, launched today. In the midst of all these developments, PokerStars announced the date for its $8 million guaranteed Sunday Million 18th Anniversary, and now the online poker giant has shared its schedule for the debuting Carnival Series.

The Carnival Series runs from January 28 to February 5 and has a huge $12.5 million in guarantees. Players with all types of bankrolls will be able to get in on the fun as buy-ins range from $5.50 all the way up to $1,050.

There'll be some huge prizes up for grabs as the series features two events that have seven-figure prizepools before the first hand is even dealt.

Mystery Bounty Format Returns for Main Event

The first eye-catcher on the schedule takes place on the opening day with the Progressive Knockout Sunday Million ($1M GTD) and comes with the usual $109 buy-in.

The festival's Main Events kick off one week later on February 4 and sees three tiers of buy-ins for the No Limit Hold'em editions, and a Pot-Limit Omaha instalment has also been chucked in for good measure. These Showstoppers will be Mystery Bounty tournaments, where players can win a surprise reward for knocking out an opponent.

For the low tier of the Main Event, it'll just cost $11 to take part, which is some incredible value when no less than $250,000 will be paid out to those who make the money. The $109 buy-in level boasts an incredible $1.25 guarantee, while high rollers can get stuck into the $1,050 buy-in Main Event.

As always, players can pay their entry fee directly, but check out the numerous satellites to book your seat at the table for a fraction of the price.
