Super "SerVlaMin" Enjoys a $126K Sunday Session at PokerStars

PokerStars

Mexico-based online star "SerVlaMin," thought to be Vladimir Minko, helped himself to over $126,000 at PokerStars over the weekend thanks to taking down two high-stakes tournaments. "SerVlaMin" triumphed in the $5,200 Titans Event for $91,769 before finishing in first place in the $1,050 Sunday High Roller PKO for an additional $37,714.

The $5,200 Titans Event always attracts some of the best players on the planet at online poker tournaments, but this weekend's final table was something else. Sixty-eight players bought in and created a $340,000 prize pool that the top nine finishers shared. Daniel "SmilleThHero" Smiljkovic was the unfortunate soul who popped the money bubble after busting in tenth place.

Team PokerStars' Lex "L.Veldhuis" Veldhuis was the first of the nine in-the-money finalists to be relieved of their stack. His ninth-place finish came with $10,600 compensation.

Alexandros "Pwndidi" Theologis ($12,135) and Vlad "VladTheSlaye" Martynenko ($16,202) joined Veldhuis on the sidelines before former Titans Event champion Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi saw his tournament end in a sixth-place finish worth $21,632.

Four-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Yuri "theNERDguy" Dzivielevski crashed out in fifth ($28,881), and Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche ($38,560) was in fourth. The Titans Event progressed to heads-up when Ukraine's "drew.derzh" bowed out in third ($51,482).

"SerVlaMin" locked horns with Pablo "pabritz" Brito Silva for the title and the largest slice of the prize pool. Silva slipped and fell in second-place, a finish good for $68,735, leaving "SerVlaMin" to bank their first title of the evening and $91,769 in cash. This marked the third time "SerVlaMin" has won the Titans Event at PokerStars!

Adding Another $37,714 to Their Sunday Haul

The second victory of March 24 for "SerVlaMin" came in the fiercely-fought $1,050 Sunday High Roller, an eight-handed progressive knockout tournament. A field of 128 stars descended on the tournament, resulting in a $128,000 prize pool. Some $37,714 of that sum is now in the PokerStars account of "SerVlaMin."

"SerVlaMin" bulldozed their way to victory despite having to content with such luminaries as Niklas "Lena900" Astedt, Pedro "gusmaa" Gusma, Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi, and Blaz "Scarmak3r" Zerjav at the final table.

The fact "SerVlaMin" walked away with $22,296 from the bounty prize pool, almost double their regular prize pool haul, speaks volumes about how they decimated the field at the business end of the $1,050 Sunday High Roller.
