Tijn Niewzwaag started playing poker one year ago and “liked it immediately.” The student from The Netherlands plays poker both live and online but prefers live games. He enjoys playing in tournaments and his favourite game is No Limit Texas Holdem. Winning entry to the 2007 PokerNews Cup Australia is the Dutchman’s biggest poker victory to date. Tijn felt “amazing” when he won the $5000 PokerNews Cup Australia Freeroll and celebrated by “screaming Aussie, Aussie, Aussie a lot.” This will be Tijn’s first appearance at a major tournament and his first trip to Australia.
