Grant Coombs Discusses the Strategy Behind Over-betting

Grant Coombs, better known as "balbomb" to the online poker community, was a long-time member of CardRunners before becoming an instructor. His preferred game is six-max no-limit hold'em cash games, and he regularly plays $200NL. In this teaser video, Cooms discusses the strategy behind over-betting.

Over-betting is when a player makes a very large bet, usually over the size of the pot. Coombs says that the move is quite valuable because it forces opponents out of their comfort zone, but warns that if it's not used in the right spots, it can be very costly. He outlines key factors to help players understand when this strategy is appropriate.
