Chris Williams opened to 2,200 in middle position and Timothy Chung defended from the big blind. The flop came K♠9♠4♠ and Chung check-called a bet of 1,500 from Williams.
The 6♥ landed on the turn and Chung checked again. Williams sized up a bet of 7,000 this time and that was enough to get Chung to fold.
Next door, Richard Connolly raised it up from the cutoff and was called by Glen Gaines and Jack Veal in the blinds. The flop fell A♦10♣7♥ and the action checked to Connolly who bet 4,500. Gaines called and Veal got out of the way.
The turn was the 9♥ and both players checked to the 3♣ on the river. Gaines put together a bet of 15,500 and Connolly ditched his cards to the muck.
