Action started with the player in the hijack opening with a bet of 1,800. From the small blind, Michael Guzzardi asked his opponent how much he had, before tossing 25,000 in chips into the middle. His opponent thought for a moment before making the call for his remaining 15,000.

The flop of kept Guzzardi’s opponent in front, as well as the on the turn. The river, however, dropped the to give Guzzardi the bigger pair, and send his opponent to the rail empty handed.
“Unlucky mate,” said Guzzardi sincerely, as he scooped in the pot and jumped up to 125,000 in chips.
We walked past the table to see a player commit his remaining 7,400 in chips into the pot. Angie Fitzgerald was next to act, and didn’t hesitate in making the call.

Angie Fitzgerald is keeping busy in the final levels of the day, recently regaining the chip lead she held for most of the day. She gave some of them back to Cole Swannack, however, and only holds a slight lead over Michael Guzzardi.
We caught the action on flop with the board reading , with a player in the big blind checking his option. Swannack then lead out for 3,600 and was instantly called by Fitzgerald. The big blind folded, and both players then saw the fall on the turn. This time Swannack thought for a moment, before counting out 7,400 in chips, and placed them in the middle. Fitzgerald counted out a call, and left it sitting beside her stack, before eventually giving up the hand, and mucking her cards into the middle.

Over in the corner table of the room, action folded around to Slav Sheynin on the button, who made it 2,000. The player in the big blind called, and both players saw the flop come out . Sheynin’s opponent then check-called a bet of 1,500 before the fell on turn. Again the player in the big blind checked his option, and watched as Sheynin led out for another 4,000 in chips. This time he opted to re-raise, making it 9,000. Sheynin didn’t look very impressed, showing his , and mucking his hand.

No sooner did we write about Slav Sheynin giving away a few chips to his opponent, did he end up losing a big pot. We didn’t catch the pre-flop action, but both Sheynin and his opponent got their chips into the middle. His opponent had pocket aces and around 35,000 in chips invested, and was in great shape when he saw that Sheynin made the call holding pocket sevens.
The board couldn’t improve Sheynin as he dropped down to 52,000 in chips.

Both players saw the flop drop , and checked their options. When the turn came the , Putt bet out 4,000 in chips, which forced a fold from Fitzgerald.
“First bluff of the day!” joked Putt, tabling .
