Marcus Double-Barrel Bluffs

Van Marcus closing in on the title
Van Marcus closing in on the title
Tae Jun Noh completed from the small blind, Van Marcus raised to 130,000 in total from the big blind and Noh made the call.

They took a flop of {5-Spades}{K-Clubs}{7-Spades} where Marcus fired out 125,000 and Noh made a very quick call.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Marcus fired a second bullet worth a hefty 235,000. This time Noh gave the decision a little more thought before releasing his hand.

Marcus then flashed {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a stone cold bluff! These two have pulled off some very nice bluffs against each other here at this final table, but this one could be the most significant as Noh is now on the ropes.

Marcus Takes Two-to-One Lead

Van Marcus seems to have figured out how he wants to play Tae Jun Noh in this heads up match. He raised to 100,000 preflop and was called. The flop came down {Q-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}. Noh checked to Marcus, who made it 130,000 to go. Noh wasn't as quick on the draw this time when he called Marcus.

Both players checked the {10-Diamonds} turn. On the river {4-Clubs}, Noh checked a third time. Marcus made what smelled like a value bet of 100,000, and again Noh stopped to consider what he should do. He decided to call and was shown Marcus' two pair, {9-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}. Noh sighed and mucked.

Deuce Is Good Enough

Tae Jun Noh raised to 100,000 from the button and Van Marcus made the call in the big blind.

The players checked down a board of {2-Clubs}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

"Deuce" said Noh and Marcus nodded his head as Noh tabled {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} which was good to collect the pot.

Marcus Chips Up

Van Marcus raised to 100,000 from the button and Tae Jun Noh made the call.

The flop was spread {2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Marcus made a continuation bet of 130,000 to take it down.

Noh Surrender

Van Marcus limped from the button, before Tae Jun Noh bumped it up another 100,000. Marcus made the call.

The flop was {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn brought the {Q-Diamonds} and Noh fired out 200,000 which did the job as Marcus folded his hand.

We're All Square

The players are very even in chips right now, with both players holding roughly 1.375 million chips. Neither player is giving an inch as this contest is extremely close and could go either way.

No Big Pots Yet

Small pots are ruling the day in heads-up play. Tae Jun Noh and Van Marcus took an unraised flop of {2-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {K-Diamonds}. They checked it through to the {10-Clubs} turn and the {2-Diamonds} river. Marcus checked a third time on the river, bringing a bet of 50,000 from Noh. Marcus called but wasn't able to bring the pot home; Noh showed {10-Diamonds} {9-Spades} for a pair of tens and the winner.

Big Pot For Small Pair

Tae Jun Noh raised to 100,000 from the button before Van Marcus announced a reraise to 230,000. Noh clarified the amount before making a pretty quick call.

With nearly half a million in the pot already, the flop was spread {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and both checked again. It seemed that no one wanted this pot as the {2-Spades} on the river was checked again.

Marcus tabled {K-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for just a baby pair but remarkably it was good to take the huge pot!

We're Back to Check-Check Poker

Another raised pot between Tae Jun Noh and Van Marcus produced another hand that was checked all the way to the river. The board ran out {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {4-Spades}. Noh never took a stab at the pot despite floping middle pair {Q-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}, which was the winning hand.

Noh's Interesting Line Gets The Pot

Van Marcus limped the button and Tae Jun Noh checked his option in the big blind.

They took a flop of {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades} where Noh check-called a 50,000 chip bet from Marcus.

Noh checked in the dark, as the {9-Spades} fell on the turn. Marcus checked behind.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Noh led with a sizable bet of 200,000. Marcus gave the decision a little thought before letting his hand go.
