An All-In Raise Produces Excitement But Not Much Else

We thought we might finally be at the moment of truth. Van Marcus opened the pot to 130,000 in front of an all-in reraise from Tae Jun Noh. The gallery members rose to their feet expectantly (those that are still awake, anyway) hoping to see an end to the tournament. Marcus considered calling before pitching his cards into the muck, prompting everyone to sit back down.

We Hate to Say It, Part 2

TD McDonagh just realized that no APPT tournament has ever reached Level 27 before. We're already twenty-five minutes into the level, with no signs of an ending anywhere to be found.

One For Marcus

Van Marcus raised it 120,000 and Tae Jun Noh made the call. The flop landed {5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Noh checked to Marcus, who fired out 135,000. Noh folded and another exciting heads-up pot goes to the Australian.

Noh Bluffs Marcus Off the Pot

Yet another limped pot between Van Marcus and Tae Jun Noh ended without completing the tournament. On an all-spade flop, {q-Spades} {k-Spades} {4-Spades}, Marcus opened for 70,000. Jun raised him to 270,000, then showed a total airball, {5-Hearts} {2-Hearts}, after Marcus mucked.

Noh Value Bets His Way To Chip Lead

Tae Jun Noh raised preflop to 120,000 and Van Marcus called in the big blind.

The board of {7-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} was checked through to the river, where Marcus check-called the minimum 60,000 chip bet from Noh.

Noh tabled {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for aces and queens to take down the pot. With that pot, Noh has now taken a very slight chip lead in this contest.

Round and Round They Go

In a little variation to the typical hand we've seen for the last three hours of heads-up play, Tae Jun Noh bet 100,000 on the {3-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {8-Hearts} flop after neither player raised preflop. Van Marcus called, then bet 130,000 after Noh checked the {4-Clubs} turn. Noh quickly surrendered.

Marcus Collects Another

Van Marcus raised it to 130,000 from the button and Tae Jun Noh made the call.

The flop was checked, but Marcus fired 140,000 on the turn with the board spread {8-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} to take down the pot.

Wake Up!

The audience in the final table studio has just broken into a random slow clap, which slowly built up into a roar of rowdy cheering, clapping and banging of chairs.

It served no purpose other than to keep everyone awake, but it annoyed some of the TV production workers sleeping in the next room, who ran in to see what on earth the noise was all about!
