Play Remains Tight

We wish we could tell you that there's been a flurry of action here in Manila the last ten minutes. It's simply not the case. The last hand is fairly representative of how things have been proceeding for well over an hour now. Hyoung Jin Nam limped into the pot from the button, Tae Jun Noh completed the small blind, and Van Marcus checked. The flop came {Q-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} and brought a bet of 40,000 from Noh. Marcus raised that bet to 90,000, and everyone else quickly folded.

Maybe we can see about getting some Red Bull to the final table.

Van Chips Up

Van raised to 65,000 from the button and Hyoung Jin Nam made the call in the small blind.

The flop came down {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Nam checked to Marcus who bet out 85,000 to take it down.

Small Pot for Noh

The action to start the new level is resembling that of the old. Tae Jun Noh opened the last pot to 50,000 from the button and was called by Hyoung Jin Nam out of the big blind. Both players checked the {7-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {K-Hearts} flop. On the turn {2-Hearts}, Nam checked to Noh, who took the pot down with a bet of 50,000.

Chip Count Update

Hyoung Jin Nam still holds a commanding chip advantage with over half of the chips in play, however Van Marcus and Tae Jun Noh are only one double up away from being in the lead!

Chip counts at the break:

Hyoung Jin Nam - 1,551,000
Van Marcus - 642,000
Tae Jun Noh - 581,000

Level: 23

Blinds: 12,000/24,000

Ante: 4,000

Play Resumes

Cards are back in the air. We had an extended break so Van Marcus could give a quick interview to the television crew that is filming this final table.

Van Marcus limped the button, Hyoung Jin Nam folded the small blind before Tae Jun Noh popped it up to 90,000 in the big blind. Marcus made the call.

They took a heads-up flop of {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Noh checked to Marcus who fired 90,000. Noh made a quick fold and the Aussies in the crowd including Nali Kaselias, James Obst and Michael Marvenek cheered with approval as Marcus now over 700,000.

Another Pot for Marcus

We're three-handed now, which means the action should be furious. Instead it's fairly conservative. No matter; Van Marcus and Hyoung Jin Nam took a limped flop of {5-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. Marcus checked, then called 20,000 from Nam. Both players check the {j-Clubs} turn, but on the river Marcus could wait no longer. He led out for 50,000 and was called by Nam. Marcus showed down the second nut flush, {K-Clubs} {7-Spades}. That was a winner.

A Little Revenge

In a battle of the blinds, Tae Jun Noh raised to 45,000 from the small blind, before Van Marcus popped it up to 115,000 in the big blind. Noh made a quick fold, and Marcus flashed {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}! Clearly it's game on!
