Cards Are In The Air!

The cards are now in the air, despite the fact that a couple of players including Fam Yat and Wooka Kim have yet to arrive to the tournament area. Perhaps they had a big night in Seoul last night?

Michiyuki Kondo Eliminated in 14th Place ($4,006)

Michiyuki Kondo is the next to join the payout line after also falling to Fam Yat. The flop was {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Kondo led out with a bet of 5,000. Yat made the call in the cutoff.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Kondo checked to Yat who fired out 6,000. Kondo made the call.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Kondo moved all in. Yat asked for a count before making a big call with {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. It proved to be a good call as Kondo tabled {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for just ace-high. Kondo hits the rail in 14th place for $4,006.

Diwei Huang opened with a raise from the button to 8,000 before Brian Kang popped it up to 25,000 from the small blind. Huang made the call.

The flop came down {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{J-Spades} and Kang led out for 25,000. Huang moved all in and Kang snap-called.

Kang: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}
Huang: {Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

Huang was caught making a move and when the turn and river bricked out he was left heading to the rail as Brian Kang extends his chip lead to around 440,000 chips!

Faqiryar Runs Big Bluff

Sam Faqiryar and Hidenari Shiono took an innocent looking flop of {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} but this is when the fireworks started!

Faqiryar led out for 12,500, before Shiono popped it up to 25,000. Faqiryar thought for several moments before announcing another raise, this time for an additional 20,000. Shiono squeezed his cards once more before tossing them into the muck.

Faqiryar proudly slammed {3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} onto the table for a stone cold bluff!

Kang Extends Lead

On a flop of {q-Spades}{K-Spades}{9-Spades} Brian Kang led out with a bet of 3,500 from the small blind, before David Horvath announced a reraise of an additional 10,000. Kang deliberated before declared yet another raise, this time for an additional 20,000.

Horvath sighed and decided to let his hand go as the stack size of our chip leader continues to balloon all over the table! Kang is now up to 460,000 with Horvath back to 80,000.
