Hori Katsiyoshi Eliminated in 12th Place ($6,010)

Hori Katsiyoshi - 12th Place
Hori Katsiyoshi - 12th Place
Hori Katsiyoshi's final table dreams have been smashed up against the rocks. He lost a flip hoiding {7-Spades} {7-Spades} against Daniel Schreiber's {A-Clubs} {K-Spades}. The flop of {6-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} sunk him, and he was unable to catch up when the turn came {5-Clubs} and the river was the {Q-Diamonds}. He earns $6,010 for making it through to Day 3 and finishing in 12th place.

Shiono Gets One Back

Sam Faqiryar and Hidenari Shiono has clashed again. This time the flop was {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} when Faqiryar checked to Shiono who fired out 15,000 from the button. Faqiryar made the call.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Faqiryar this time led out for 15,000 from early position and Shiono made a quick call.

The river landed the {9-Spades} and both players checked it down.

Faqiryar flipped {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for a missed straight draw as Shiono's {A-Clubs}{3-Spades} was good!

Stayin' Alive

Wooka Kim is not (yet) going to be our final table bubble babe. She moved all in after Sam Faqiryar raised from under the gun to 9,000. Faqiryar shrugged and called, showing {A-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}. He was up against Kim's {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}, but never got his magic ace on a board of {j-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {3-Spades} {6-Spades} {10-Spades}. Kim doubled to 50,000, preventing the final table from being set.

Schreiber Calls Down Tasaka

Dan Schreiber
Dan Schreiber
Yoshihiro Tasaka and Dan Schreiber have just gone to war in an interesting pot. They both saw a flop of {4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} where Tasaka led out for 15,000. Schreiber made the call.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and again Tasaka decided 15,000 was the right amount for his bet. Schreiber again made the call.

The river landed the {6-Clubs} and Tasaka counted out the magical number of 15,000 and splashed them into the pot defiantly. Schreiber shrugged his shoulders and made the cheap call.

Tasaka paused but Schreiber waited for him to reveal his cards. Tasaka flipped {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for just ace-high as Schreiber revealed {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for the best hand. Tasaka slips to 220,000 while Schreiber is now looking dangerous as he sets himself for back-to-back APPT Seoul final tables with around 240,000 chips.

Shiono Takes Down Another Pot

Hidenari Shiono has been good at accumulating chips all tournament. He has continued his was here today, reraising Sam Faqiryar to 27,000 after Faqiryar opened for 9,000. Faqiryar called, but folded on a flop of {7-Hearts} {A-Spades} {3-Diamonds} after Shiono bet 20,000.

Masaki Hangs On

A tough day for Yuji Masaki isn't going to get any easier. He has been relentlessly anted and blinded down, the point where he had only 8,000 chips left. He put them all in from the big blind before small blind Wooka Kim could act. She called anyway, showing {8-Clubs} {3-Spades} and surprisingly was ahead of Masaki's {4-Spades} {2-Clubs}. But Masaki hit a four on the {k-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} flop, and although the {9-Clubs} provided some drama, Masaki was in the clear when the {j-Spades} hit the river. He's still very short, but now has 20,000 chips to work with.

Faqiryar Finds Three Streets of Value

Faqiryar On Fire
Faqiryar On Fire
On a flop of {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Sam Faqiryar put out a bet of 4,500 from the small blind. Fam Yat made the call in the big blind.

The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Faqiryar fired out another bullet worth 8,500. Yat thought for a moment and made the call.

The river brought the {K-Spades} and Faqiryar decided to release for the third time for 13,000. Yat again deliberated before making the call.

Faqiryar flipped {6-Spades}{10-Spades} for just a pair of tens but it was good as Yat mucked his hand. Faqiryar climbs up to 170,000 and seems have the radar working today, as Yat falls to 75,000.

Horvath Takes One From Chip Leader

Brian Kang raised to 9,000 from the button with David Horvath and Dan Schreiber both making the call out of the blinds.

The flop landed {7-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and the action checked to Kang who fired 15,000. Horvath called and Schreiber got out of the way.

The turn was the {K-Hearts} and both players checked. The river brought the {8-Hearts} and again both players checked it down. Horvath flipped {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for the best hand against Kang's {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

Kang slips to 375,000 with Horvath now up to 135,000.
