The Hilton and Han Show

With Sim Somyung's stack reduced to about 13 big blinds, the final table has become all about David Hilton and Dong-bin Han. Hilton limped into a pot before Han raised it up to 110,000. Hilton called to a flop of {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {5-Hearts}. Hilton checked, then glanced at Han in surprise as Han made a large over-bet of 500,000. Hilton checked how may chips Han was playing, then threw away his hand. Han flashed the {5-Clubs}.

Sim Somyung Eliminated in 3rd Place ($58,000)

Preflop, Dong-bin Han opened to 110,000 and Sim Somyung moved over the top all-in. Han called pretty quickly.

Somyung: {j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Han: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The {7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{a-Spades} flop gave Somyung outs to a gutshot straight, that Han would have to fade to get things heads up. The {A-Hearts} on the turn meant any paint would keep Somyung alive.

The {4-Clubs} river was not a face card, and therefore we lose Somyung in third place, and advance to heads up play here at the PokerStars.net APPT Cebu.

Early Pots to Han

Dong-bin Han hasn't shown any sign of slowing down now that we're heads-up. He's raised almost every pot preflop. He recently raised to 125,000 from the button, with David Hilton calling. Hilton checked the {5-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {2-Clubs} flop, then folded to a bet of 175,000.

Hilton Ships A Monster

Preflop, David Hilton opened to 80,000 from the button with Dong-bin Han making the call.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Han checked. Hilton fired 80,000 and Han called. The turn was the {k-Spades} and Hilton once again fired out a bet over Han's check. This time Hilton bet 225,000 only to be check-raised by Han to 600,000. Hilton thought for a moment and made the call.

The river was the {A-Hearts} and this time Han would take the front-foot firing 350,000 and Hilton counted his chips, then bet 1,025,000. Han instantly called, but didn't like what he saw.

Hilton rolled over {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a full house, while Han had {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for trips.

Hilton now has the commanding chip lead at 4,600,000 to 1,700,000.

Another Pot for Hilton

They can't all be big pots in no-limit hold'em. And in fact it's winning lots of small pots that gives ammunition for the bigger ones. David Hilton opened from the button for 80,000 and was called by Dong-bin Han. On a flop of {6-Spades} {2-Clubs} {K-Hearts}, Han checked and then folded to another bet of 80,000 from Hilton.
